HC Johnson 'nails' it in this excellent piece

U have to peruse the entire item on Coach J's introduction to Ga Tech to root out some real 'jewel' quotes. I sure feel a lot better about the fact that GT's Head Coach 'gets it' about Tech.
On offense: "We have a broad offensive package. We'll figure out what gives us the best chance to be successful".
On play charts/game scripts:"We adjust based on what's working. We make a lot of adjustments".
On Ga Tech:"The cupboard is not bare. Great talent in the program. Great product to sell here @ GT". (No crutch from Johnson).
On recruiting:"Good relationship with a lot of Georgia HS coaches. Great HS football in Ga & great talent".(Understands where to get talent)

"An exciting opportunity to be very successful".
He had me at 'very'.

Simit rules. I think he coined the term "McThrillerDome" while he was at the Technique. He's also the web administrator for CNN.com.

When I asked Simit about his opinons of PJ a month or two ago, one of the first things he mentions is that PJ doesn't use a flipchart - he does everything from memory. I thought that was kinda cool.
