Mike Huguenin iterates this in his column 'Mondays with Mike' @ Rivals.com. He sure speaks positively of Coach Johnson. Huguenin goes over the newly hired Head Coaches in college football & groups them into 4 categories: 1)Good hire, successful 2)Good hire, success? 3)Jury out & 4)Puzzling.

Excellent rule of thumb, but Chow is in his 60s and he is coaching with Risk Neuheisel at UCLA.
