GEORGIA TECH -- This team deserves to be in one of the top bowls, especially after beating rival Georgia, but FSU would bring a "home" crowd and be a lucrative matchup for the Gator Bowl folks.
Possibilities: Chick-fil-A Bowl, Gator Bowl, Champs Sports Bowl
Prediction: Champs Sports Bowl

My friend who works for the football team is predicting Champs as well. It would be a blast to go to, but man would I feel screwed over by the bowls.

Wait, the Gator bowl will pick FSU because of the home town crowd, but the Chick bowl won't pick GT?

Disrespect in the bowl would hopefully leave the team something to prove in the game and more motivation in the off season.

The Peach bowl will sell out no matter who they pick, so the home crowd isn't much of an issue. Maybe that's not the case for the Gator Bowl?

From what I've been hearing, Chic-fil-a cares more about being a major TV bowl than just selling tickets or hotel rooms. If VT loses, which they likely will, they'll be a team on a downward slide with little respect nationally. A GT-LSU matchup, which IMO will still be the outcome, will pit a resurgent top-15 team against the defending national champions.

This.

We're a top 15 team. VT probably won't even be ranked if they lose so I don't see the Peach Bowl taking them over us. Or the Gator Bowl for that matter, should the Peach select FSU.

she is just guessing, just like everyone is.

I talked to a person in the AA today, and he said they STILL have no clue.

I think alot hinges on the ACC title game.

I also think tech goes to Gator or Chick fila....a top 15 ranking is too good to pass up from a national audience standpoint. FSU is unranked and limping home, so is Miami and probably VT too.

I see no reason why chik fila doesn't take us. If BC loses....they won't be an attractive pull, if VT loses how would they? Not ranked, and not as good.

I'm fine with the chik bowl and a matchup with LSU or Ole Miss....even south carolina
just to show how the sec speed....wont stop the 3 yards and a cloud of dust

You are spot on....It will be the Chikfila no doubt. If they were not to pick us there will be a huge backlash against them. I was told by a chikfila person positive things and in fact he is getting me 4 tickets on either the 40 or 50 yard line.

I will be very, very disappointed with the Champs bowl or whatever. Chik-fil-a against LSU would be awesome. I would love to see that game. I would love to see PJ possible go 3-0 against SEC teams with their "speedy" defenses.

An LSU/GT matchup would be GREAT for national coverage. No one cares about Ole Miss or USCe, but LSU has long been in the spotlight of the media. It's a "down" year for them, but it's still LSU.

We play three SEC teams next year. This year we are 2-0 against them -> could end up 3-0.

The only bowl I WON'T go to is the Champs Sports Bowl.

That's horse turds.

I read somewhere today (I have been reading a lot and couldn't find the link afterwards) that Texas Tech is predicted to go to the Cotton Bowl, but could end up in the Gator. This is the only situation that I would want us to go to the Gator...otherwise, I'm banking on a GT-LSU matchup to skyrocket us into a top 10 ranking next year. Can you imagine playing against Texas Tech though? A win against the former No. 2 ranked team from the Godly Big 12 this year would greatly improve our team in the eyes of the poll voter, IMHO.

I think we've already won regardless of whatever bowl we go to (hoping Peach, though). The real loser is the winner of the ACCCG who has to go play against Cincinnati in what I predict will be a atrociously boring game that you couldn't give me tix to.

Not questioning your fandom, but that is a terrible attitude. These guys busted their tail all season long, and if such a thing happens, are getting robbed of a better bowl, and your repayment is to not even support them because you feel disrespected?

Come on. The only effect such an attitude has is make GT look worse, ensuring we go to worse bowls in the future. It is simply this attitude that is causing us to even have this discussion. If our fans are positive and support the team after the tremendous season they have given us, we won't even be having such a discussion in the future.

Unfortunately I think TTU would have a field day with our secondary.

On the flip side we would have a field day with their entire defense.

That game might be in the 100+ point range.
