HD's season in review

I don't understand how it is a turning point. It was a critical, and horrid, call. But it wasn't our turning point. It was more like VPI's luckiest break in a season filled with more sketchy calls then a 1-900 number.

If you ask me, the turning point was when the offensive line started playing better, and I put that at around the FSU game.

Yeah, but then there was that awful game against North Carolina. I'd almost say Miami was the turning point cause we stopped fumbling the ball for 2 games in a row. Is that a season record? Hopefully that holds up against LSU.

I agree that Miami was the turning point too. That was the game where the offense went from pretty good with some big play potential to each play could go the distance.

Yes, but that UNC game was an outlier for a few reasons. One, Josh was not even close to 100% during that game, and it really showed. Second, we were moving the ball despite the injury, we totalled up over 400 yards of offense, but we couldn't seal the deal. We had two missed 4th down conversions, one inside the 20, and two missed field goals in the first half. Looking back on that game now is pretty interesting.

The UVA game was the turning point in regards to losing the ACC IMO. We were pretty healthy and it was Homecoming. No reason to lose that game.

Not to mention we had 4 back-ups on the O-line playing at times that game.

I agree. We seemed to play a lot better offensively after the UVa game.
