I continue to be amzed.

This is the one thing that I HATE about being a Tech Fan!

We've got SOME of the most FAIR WEATHER FANS sports have ever seen.

It's like some of you just sit around waiting to kick the team/coaches/whatever while they're down.

Did we play bad? Hell Yes. Did you really think that this team was going to go undefeated? If you say YES, then you're either A: a ****ING liar... or B: Not in touch with reality or the game of football.

In this day and age, it's damn near impossible to go undefeated, especially if you play in a major conference (ask Florida)....ok that's a little far fetched but some of you may understand my meaning.

We looked terrible...no question. It's not the end of the world or the season

I've seen numerous posts about the DC or PJ's play calling, etc. They've been doing this a while and I think I'll side with them on this one

1. This offense isn't built for a MAJOR comeback. It just isn't. It's built to punch you in the mouth, and keep pounding. When doing so it's shortens the other team's gameplan and exploits they're defensive weaknesses. WE DIDN"T DO THAT LAST NIGHT but all isn't over.

2. It's not the DC's fault necessarily. I think that we can all agree that he's putting the best 11 guys on the field at their position. Does that mean that they're going to be ALL WORLD and BEST IN CLASS, absolutely not. Bottom Line: Our DL isn't that great with the exception of Morgan. When you're DL can't get a push and penetrate the LOS you're going to be in for a long f'n night. That was apparent. We had 0 push, thus allowing time for the QB (who's damn good I might add) to sit back and pick apart the secondary.

3. If you're going to sit here and be an armchair QB and bitch and complain about every little decision made then I'd rather you quit posting.
FUthermore, I'd rather you go root for some other team....maybe ClemPson or UGAy...you sound like their fans already.

4. You can't exclude the fact that the boys have played 3 games in 12 days. Fatigue may have played a part....who knows, I wasn't out there. But people like Kyle and Paintballer (yes, I'm calling you out, mainly because I don't like you and I want to punch you both int he mouth) would put blame on the coach and their lack of conditioning. You guys have "ZERO" touch with what it takes to be an athlete or Coach for that matter so blow it out your ass

It's WEEK 3 and people are going bananas. There's a reason they play 12 games....and not 3. So sit back, take a pill, and get ready cause it aint over yet

Dude, get some air and relax. This isn't exclusive to the Tech fanbase. Every fanbase is hyper-reactionary in this day and age. Message boards, internet, and sports talk radio are all centered around immediate news. When you win, you're the best; when you lose, you're the worst. That's just how it is nowadays.

I disagree with the OP on many points.

You must have not been watching the first 3 games. If you can name two consecutive Qtrs where our offense played decent, I will give you some credit. But when you can't even play consistently against your punching bag team, JSU, people are going to complain.

When you are bringing back 9 of 11 starters from last year and people said our team is "light years ahead," people are going to expect something better than last year. At this point last year we looked much better than we do this year.

I think there wouldn't be much of an outburst right now if we weren't told that we are "light years ahead" of where we were last year.

I hear ya, but you have to give the other team credit. You can bet your checkbook that they are practising for the Option a helluva earlier than 1 wk prior to game time. Especially since most are circling as a must win.

All the starters coming back doesn't mean a thing with you're up against a Def who's ready for it. (See Peach Bowl for example) JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE BACK DOESN'T MEAN THAT THEY'RE THAT MUCH BETTER.

The only thought that I'd throw at CPJ is we have to .... absolutely have to, come up with a Passing Attach. and he's got to get these guys blocking better TOO. We're missing TOO MANY blocks down field. It's not necessarily the OL's fault. The outside blocking comes on the Backs and WR's. I'm seeing too many dives at the legs. Yeah, that works sometimes but I wanna see someone downfield STAND Someone up....and not get a hold or BIB call.

That's all I got

If Anthony Allen can't block worth ****, then he shouldn't be part of an offense that requires you to block. That falls on Coach Johnson. If your defense scheme seemed to be do ****ing nothing all night, that falls on Wommack. The only reason that score wasn't worse was because Miami let off the throttle.

Yes, we were tired. Yes, we had a lot going against us. But the coaches have to get the players past that. Excuses don't win football games.

Let's put this another way. I have not seen Georgia Tech play a complete game since the last time we played Miami. I have not seen this team show any sort of fight since the 3rd Quarter of the UGA game. The only positive I took from last night's game was that Josh looks he's throwing the football better. I really hope this is the wake up call this team needs, because they seem to be sleep walking.

don't get around much huh? why should GT be immune from fair weather fans?

the only people I see going bananas around here are the ones accusing people of going bananas.

No one around here is even fair weather. We're all going to watch the rest of the games, even if we lose out. The fair weather fans are the ones who aren't going to go to any more games now that we've seen the team isn't all it was hyped up to be. We all care, that's why we're on here posting.

I think some of the original rant is sissified. Shades of Braine. Sorry moke, we ain't needin nat. 'Perciatate the contribute and all but take a pill and grab yo thrill. We already lookin at next week, baby!

+1.

The people that are fair weather will not show their face on this website until we win again.

With exception to the UNC game (because of conflict w/ ASU/UGA that I'm taking my wife to) I'll be in 222 row 4 for VT, WF and UGA. Also considering taking in a road game at Duke or Vandy.

Between those games I'll probably be on here offering up praise and voicing frustration over what I see, because that's what fans do. I care very much about the GT program, I want to see it reach the next level --so yes I'm frustrated when something like last night takes place. Fact is Miami is a better football team than GT --I can deal with that, but it doesn't mean that there aren't things that can be improved upon.

There's no such term as "fair weather Georgia Tech fan".

Otherwise, there would be no Georgia Tech fans.

What? This post doesn't even make any sense. Just because you are a fair weather GT "fan"(I use that term loosely since it's pretty apparent you don't have much investment in the team...what was it you said again? "F*** Georgia Tech football?") doesn't mean that the fanbased is composed solely of fairweather fans.

Fair weather fan. Hilarious. Yeah, I wish I could be a fair weather fan. Sometimes I feel like this: If I had the option of not being a Georgia Tech football fan, I probably would have exercised that option by now. It's sort of like being in love with an unfaithful woman. Maybe she won't take her love to town next weekend.

Dude, where has the fair weather been? I've been a fan of this team since 2003.

There was no fair weather to draw me in.

You clearly missed the point of my post.

This. If I were a fair weather fan, I would have found some other team to follow after SEVEN losses in a row to a cross state rival.

Being a Georgia Tech football fan is no easy feat - even moreso when you don't attend the school. Why? You don't have the emotional investment that a student/alumnus has to keep drawing you in. It's an appreciation for the team that keeps you interested, even in the bad times.

FYI you don't have to be a ticket holder to be fair weather

Fair Weather can be dogging out and criticizing the Coaches, Team, potential outcome, etc after 1 bad game... Furthermore 1 bad game 3 wks into the season

And we have them by the ****load
