Here\'s My New Conference, Need Catchy Name...
GT, Clem, FSU, Md, Vir, Miami, Southern Miss, VT, W. Vir, Pitt, BC, Syracuse.
You've got to throw an invite out there to ND and Penn State. If one or both joined, that would leave two of the above out.
If Md or Vir won't join, go get Louisville and/or East Carolina.
Now, what would you call the conference? How about the Big Atlantic or Great Atlantic.
Now, for the divisions, I like putting FSU and Miami together to increase the chances of two BCS bowl invitations. Here's my breakdown:
Southern Division:
GA Tech
FSU
Clemson
Miami
Southern Miss
Virginia
Northern Division:
VT
MD
BC
Syracuse
W. Vir
Pitt
Another breakdown would be to keep all the old ACC schools together and the old Big East together and evenly divide the rest. That would put FSU and Miami in seperate divisions but would balance the scales a little better. So you would just swap MD and Miami from the above breakdown.
Actually, if this materializes, I hope we leave the ACC.
