Here's what I hope...

Our offense has shown a little more every week. Different play selection, different tendancies...something new for DCs to contend with each time out. Reggie is showing a better grasp of what we're trying to do and is limiting the mistakes that have killed us in the past. I hope that Nix and Reggie are developing that understanding of and trust in each other that Fridge had with Joe and Goose. We don't need Reggie to be either one, we just need him to execute what Nix wants.

I remember how different each of Fridge's offenses were at the end of the year than they were at the start. Just pop in your tape of the NCSU game to start the MNC year and then watch the Nebraska blowout to see what I mean. The team that opened the season was nothing like the one that steamrolled the cornhuskers.

Let's continue building on the success we're having. Adjust to our strengths, find new ways to free Calvin and get the other receivers involved. Keep popping those key runs from some pretty good backs and let Reggie continue to be Reggie. If we keep our focus and keep our heads on straight, this could be a special year for this bunch.

But first things first, we HAVE to beat MD.

Agreed. The O seems to get better every week, can't wait to see what they pull out of their sleeve next week! Also agreed that our first order of business is to prepare for the Twerps, hopefully our guys will be focused and not looking ahead to the Climpson game.

For the record, I liked the flea flicker call. I would have preferred we ran a reverse first to see how they were aligning against it, but it was an aggressive playcall and I dug it.

That play call tells me that Nix will not get conservative again like in the second half of the ND game.

Agree totally. I bet he regrets that everyday, but it was a learning and growing experience for a young coach.

I like the flea flicker call as well. I too think it would have worked better if we had setup it up first with a reverse.

Thats why I felt the coaches really lost the N.D. game. The players gave their best....just to conservative
