Do you keep in contact with your former teammate Todd Stansbury? Lots of speculation that he might come back to the flats in some capacity. Are you hearing anything?
 
JD, one more thing........

I agree that he needs to be back here, does he WANT to be back here? If so, is he pushing for it? Also, what would you think about Coach Curry taking over for Braine on a short term basis? Seems like the ideal person to put the fractured Tech community back together, thoughts on that?

Coach Curry, please he is the total wrong person to be Tech's AD. He cut and ran from his former team for Alabama after having some success on the Flats. You really want a guy that turned his back on GT after helping it achieve some success??

Ideally and this is my opinion only so take it as that.

I would like to see Bill back because he connects with the Alumni and we are in need of positive PR right now after this last debacle.

Todd would be great with Bill working together in some sort of capacity. What would that be? I'd be willing to bet we can come up with something.

I agree totally. Curry is a good "face man," and has enhanced his reputation with his ESPN connection. This would help mend our reputation nationally. We also need a fundraiser after Braine's 8 year reign of spending, and Curry can do that.

However, Curry has not demostrated that he is a manager, and has no experience working as an AD. Stansbury has related experience, and can fill that role.

They would be an awesome team. I'd prefer to clone Homer, but Curry and Stansbury would be very good for GT.

There are some real reasons not to want Curry as GT's AD, but this is not one of them, IMO.

Yeah, I know how you feel, and I felt it, too, but you really can't blame a guy for going after the opportunity of a lifetime. GO did it as well.
