This is a critical post, which I don't like making, but...

In the AJC this morning, both BOB and Dan Reeves said that, in hindsight, they probably should have run Hollings and Duckett more. In hindsight! Everybody watching the games who was conscious was screaming, "Give the ball to Tony!" and "Where the hell is Duckett!"

"In hindsight, I probably..." is SUCH a weasel. Just say, "I screwed up, I couldn't see the obvious and it cost us."

OK, I feel better.

Agree 100% One thing the Evil Genius always did was admit mistakes by the coaching staff. Even when the players weren't executing, he'd say the staff didn't put the players in a position to be successful. Really wish BOB and JacketChan would have taken more responsibility. Just my humble opinion.

THWG!!

I attended both games (GT and Falcons) and I was upset that were weren't using Hollings more (especially early, given the conditions) and after 3 or 4 solid runs Duckett was non-existent Sunday. While I think BO'B just outsmarted himself (therefore not using the running game), I think Duckett must have made some mistake (blocking, perhaps) and moved into Reeves doghouse. Either way, it makes me feel better to hear both coaches admit they didn't use the guys effectively. That's a major step toward improvement.

SportsJacket I don't know who the evil genious is but I remember the big O saying the coaches put the players in the place to win but they didn't perform.

Fan of BD, I was speaking of visor boy, the Smirk, aka Steve Spurrier. Sorry for the confusion.

THWG!!
