Hire Tenuta and ...

let's get this over with! Great coach and very well respected. Other teams would love to have him. He's already in on recruits and our efforts would not drop off. He deserves it.

Also, Johnson would be a good hire, too...already knows Georgia and should be able to build upon recruiting success. So, I change my mind, Hire Johnson! :)

either one would be good.

This post alone has now convinced me that Tenuta is not a viable HC candidate.

You forgot to mention that if we hire Tenuta, we probably will never have another halftime performance featuring Big Boi.

Who gives a F&#*. I would watch Lawrence Welk if we were beating the teams we are supposed to and competitive in others, and maybe beat UGAy once in a half decade.

And, I mean the powder blue tux days of the Lawrence Welk show. With the big damn organ following his accordian.

Did you just say that Lawrence Welk has a big damned organ? :wow:

LOL. You said "big damn organ".

Tenuta is a step backwards in my opinion. If we do not hire PJ then this whole search has been a waste of time. PJ will win big time at GT with the talent we have. Tenuta will be a bust as a head coach.

Tenuta is not the answer. A great DC, yes...but I think there is a reason he hasn't been considered for a HC position in a real program before. I think this is the worst possible hire IMO.

We need a NEW coach.

I listened to a Tenuta interview on 680 and he was awful. When Buck asked a question about what his coaching philosophy would be, his first reaction was a confrontational response like "what a stupid question". Then he proceded with answering it. This comes when he should be on good behavior as a candidate. Kincaid even remarked what a stupid first response to the question.
I appreciate what he has done for Tech and hope he stays if our new HC wants him, but he is not our answer to uniting our fan base and taking us to the next level regarding PR and ticket sales.

START the BUBBLE MACHINE!

beej67,
wonders how many will get that joke

Tricks, I say, like that mirage there off the port bow!

They started the bubble machine at the end of the show didn't they. I just remember my grandmother making me watch it when I was like 4.

Funny, I heard the same interview,

and I NEVER heard him say anything to the effect of "what a stupid question." In fact, what he said was "It depends on what you mean by philosophy." He went on to talk about making sure kids go to class and hit the books this time of year. He then spoke of his defensive coaching philosophy and how he'd like his offense to play like that.

I am soooooooooo tired of people making stuff up during this coaching search. Bogey, yours is relatively minor in the grand scheme of things, but I couldn't let it pass. There's way too much misinformation about JT out there. We'd be damn lucky to have a coach like him, even if there are other candidates who would also be great for GT. Just MHO...
