Can we get someone to start checking stats to see if we’ve ever fielded a more pathetic, anemic, inept offense in one half of football in our entire 130 years as a football club?
Right now, I’m not sure how that’s possible.
I’ve never witnessed a team have nearly 3x penalty yards to total yards, and I’m quite positive any FCS opponent in the nation could move the ball better on FSU’s defense.

Don’t have the stats, but in ‘94 (I think) vs Duke at home the offense fumbled on the first three posessions and fumbled on the next one as well, but managed to recover. A timing play was called, but Luginbill threw to the sideline while the receiver cut across the middle. On the next play, they ran the same play…with the same results. That was the worst prepared team I’ve seen, however there was a fair amount of talent on the team. I think this may be the least talented team we’ve fielded since, well…Pepper?

An average college offense would beat UVA and FSU.
Odd. LSU (35 ppg) and Louisville (27 ppg) both have pretty good offenses and lost to FSU. BC who has a better offense than GT managed to lose 14-44. So define “average” offense?
