This thread was started by helmet0628 who saw it on the Gamecock board. who claims to be a life long Tech fan who wasn't smart enough to go to Tech, and is now a Gamecock fan also, as verified by his brother. Whether it is true or not, nobody knows. He is being CRUCIFIED by the hivers. Since I'm not allowed to post there, will someone who can please invite this guy to Stingtalk where reason and rationality reside? He meant no harm and is being attacked unmercifully by the hive nerdies.

Tech simply made it impractical for Tenuta to agree to stay. Happens everyday in the real world. Easy for PJ to make the statement he made on the radio re Tenuta ...he wins either way. Tenuta won't be back, that's a fact. But I hope he and Bond make a big statement in Boise.

If PJ made it impractical to stay there are only two ways he could do it: cut his pay or limit his autonomy as DC.

Either way it will come out in the press and PJ will look bad, IMO. Kind of like Roof when he left to go to Dook. It may be the case but I hope not...

I saw the thread you are talking about and I'm not surprised that the guy got hammered. Anytime a font that no one knows that is using an opposing team's logo as their icon posts a rumor that directly contradicts public statements by both our HC and AD and could adversely effect our recruiting, you better believe they are going to get hammered.

But that doesn't make it impractical for him to stay clapper. And he's not catching hell for his comment, he's catching hell for coming on a Tech board with a gamecock logo and posing supposed "insider" info from a SC board.

I put up a link to the article and you still honded me. BUt hey i dont have 6000 post on this board either so how can i be a tech fan also. I haven't said anything about where you live, I said that posting a link to a SC board for insider information on a Tech issue isn't going to win you any friends. Why would they they know something about what's going on at Tech. And even if they did, saying Tenuta isn't being retained is much different than saying he isn't going to stay. But I think you may have me confused with someone else as I don't think I've ever said anything about how many posts someone has.

Could it be possible that the beat writers from SC talk maybe a beat writer from GT? Do you really think that journalist don't talk? I posted the article what i knew from the article and told you where i got it from and told you to take it for what its worth. Maybe you should stop hounding people just becasue you dont like the news they deliver.

Yeah, actually it does. The internal politics of getting passed over for a position that pays over 3x what you are currently making and then being asked to be the good soldier makes the situation impractical.

Unless you can't find a postion that pays what you currently make. I'm guessing the Bammer DC makes al little more and the VT DC makes more than JT. Is that it?

And Michigan will likely need a new DC, as will LSU, probably All-Barn, and Arkansas, and Ole Miss. Duke is stepping up. How about Nebraska? Possibly WVU and they could be flush with cash.

But, like I said, it's moot. He doesn't have the option of choosing that some of you want to believe.
