Mark your calendars.

It looks like the home opener against Jax State is going to be played on the Thursday night before Labor Day weekend.

The Clempsin/Cheatin' Tide game is the Saturday night of that weekend and we don't want to play a day game in the heat. Plus, it gives us eight days before our ACC home opener and allows us to start preseason practices earlier.

sux for me...great for GT football though.

Where did you hear this?
Lunch w/ D-Rad (and about 130 other alums) on Friday for a sort of State of the Association report. I took copious notes and was going to post them, but the more I typed, the more boring it read. Lots of good info, just boring stuff. I'll try to post something later.

Does that mean we're going to have 2 home Thurs night games or will our ACC Thurs nighter be on the road?

that would be great for me if that was televised on ESPN. I'm a Jax St. alum, that would be huge exposure for them, but I'm still pulling for GT

I really am hoping it's not a Thursday Night game. I wouldn't mind the TV and what not, but I desperately want a Saturday game.

A Thursday night game on ESPN would be a great start. Our fans usually turn out well for those, and the student body would be there in force. After a spring and summer speculating on what the new order of GT football will look like, this would be a great premiere, I'd think. And since it's Jax State (knock on wood) our fans won't leave at halftime.

this one's definitely gonna be on the U if ESPN gets it. Maybe CSTV will pick it up instead

If it is indeed the first game of the season, ESPN might pick it up for the main network. What else are they going to be showing on a Thursday night?

this is what i'm hoping for, but i just don't see them throwing a "Jax St" on ESPN. If it were Troy then yea, but not a 1AA team on ESPN

doesn't hurt to hope though
