Honestly

I thought we would beat VPI and then lose to UNC, so yeah I'm a little surprised at the result.

Really? In your heart of hearts you knew this could happen. You had to.

yeah i knew it could happen

didn't think it would though...it thought it would be close

I wonder how the hivers will spin this one...lol..

The score was a little bit of a surprise (their's, not ours), but I know I certainly expected to lose this one. The bizarre thing is Vegas picking us to win.

I'm not saying that people were predicting it or expecting it, but in hindsight it shouldn't be surprising at all.

This crap happens all the time.

Is anyone here truly surprised at this outcome?

I'm surprised by the score but it's best for the program. I think Gailey might be fired by Monday. It's over so why draw it out. A 3 point loss would have meant he had to stick it out but this was is done now.

I couldn't see a way we could win without Tashard and I don't think we could. But Tenuta is not the next HC that's for sure.

I am not. I was worried about this game. Too many people thought we would walk in and win. I think the team thought the same thing. The loss of Tashard is huge and he will not be the same the rest of the season. VT is a good team with good athletes that is getting better as the season is going on. We do not get better ever.

I think that if you took out a typical play in that game looked at how the players matched up, you would not have expected 27-3. Of course, that's what you get with:

- The onside kick which really set the tone for the entire game.
- 5 interceptions and 1 crucial fumble.
- 2/3 (forget how many) really big pass plays.

Now, VPI was definitely the better team than us. Without Glennon holding them back, they were truly unleashed. Unfortunately, UGA appears to now be playing at VPI's and BC's level. I'm guessing Chan's gonna lose to UGA, finish 7-5 and be fired the Monday after Thanksgiving.

I originally thought we would lose to VT --until I looked up their offensive stats --which are not impressive. So of course VT goes for nearly 500 yards total offense. That's pitiful --pitiful preparation and execution on the part of both coaches and players.

I thought it would be a low scoring affair --that GT's defense would need to come up with a big play or two to give the TC-less offense a short field. But --of course-- the opposite happened.

Our KO return team was in no way prepared for a potential onside kick --we're playing VT so I would think the front line would have been 'coached' this entire week to make certain the ball is kicked --but obviously it wasn't even mentioned in practice --or else ALL of our front line guys don't listen to coaching.

So VT covers the onside kick and the game was over the moment Tech's D had to get right back on the field after a long drive that saw the defense hold for a FG.

Come on, don't we always finish 7 and 5?

On a serious note I am finally convinced that we will not improve under Gailey. He is good enough to get us a winning season and a mediocre bowl.

It doesn't seem like he can have a breakthrough season.
