But I'm glad we won in spite of it! They blew every review in the booth except Calvin's first TD of the game and VT's touchdown in the fourth quarter and topped it off with a phantom pass interference on the last drive that put VT at the 2.

No matter. It's a big win and the Coastal Division lead is ours. Let's just keep this momentum going.

Those refs ought to be strung up by their nuts and crucified. I hope to hell Chan sends that entire tape into the ACC commish. Of course he was the one who probably tipped their pockets because VT is the more marketable team.

Those sunsabastiches still couldn't give it to VT.

Darrell Robertson got tackled by an O lineman on the last offensice drive and on the final pass intereference call, the receiver WAS NOT EVEN TOUCHED!!!!!!!

I hope he sends the tape too. He sure ought to. That was **expletive** awful!

Now, A WIN IS A WIN, and we just DOMINATED at Lane Stadium. Goooooooooooooooooooooooo Jackets!

Taken together, that was perhaps the most biased broadcasting and officiating crew I have ever watched. I don't remember how many times I shouted at the TV that the announcers need to STFU, especially that one guy who sat in the VT endzone in the first half and referred to VT as "we" throughout the second half.

The last 2 pass interference calls were laughable. These refs should be reprimanded.

The one they called on Jamal where Clowney came down wrong and got hurt, the only contact they had was a hand hitting a hand running downfield, well before the ball was even in the air.

The one that put the ball on the 2 was Oregon-Oklahoma like. Despite the officials and them not giving Calvin his first down early in the gamne, giving their guy a TD when he didn't cross the plane of the goalline, and all those calls, we still took the Hokies behind their own woodshed!

I agree, but even they were saying the calls were bad at the end.

Those last couple of calls just topped off a horrible day of officiating. No idea how they didn't overturn some of their earlier calls after reviewing them.

Agreed 900%. We won and I'm ecstatic, but it was unbelievably frustrating seeing the refs smear their nonsense on our great victory.

My thoughts exactly. An analogy would be being pick pocketed of some travelers checks on your honeymoon. No permanent harm done, but still feeling violated nonetheless.
VT and the "league" office sucks.

I was actually pissed off at the end of the game because of the officiating. Had to send the kids to their rooms the last minute so they wouldn't here daddy say all those bad words!!!!!!!

With about seven minutes to go I noticed even the clock official was playing games with the time ....a second or two here and there. One play we made a tackle of their receiver near the sideline and the clock stopped , but the field offical was signaling down inbounds so then they started it back finally. THey were milking every second they could for VT.

I wondered if anyone else saw that. Also, around the 2:50 mark on a running play, in bounds, not a first down, they stopped the clock for around 15 seconds.:dunno:

There were also some extremely questionable ball placements that went VT's way - One GT 3rd down play was supposedly reviewed , but you could tell from the lack of any delay that they didn't even bother really looking at it.

The call on the VT 1-yard TD run was a joke - The guy's helmet didn't even break the plane until after he was down.

Actually, I'm amazed they didn't throw some more flags for pass interference on the last two plays - There was more contact on those than on the other two combined.

This should have been the ACC's marquee game this weekend - How did we manage to get this lousy a group of refs?????

I think they knew they blew the previous 2 calls, and didn't want to draw attention to themselves. Maybe they're thinking they can use that and say "Hey, we missed a couple in GT's favor too!"

I agree with everyone about the officiating. Thankful for the win, but had it been a closer game, the officials would have decided the outcome and that's sad.

If their gonna use instant replay and review these plays, get the dang things right. That TD they handed VT on the running play was awful.

Never the less, great job Jackets.

I don't think the replay crew overturned a single play the entire game. The two obvious plays that should have been overturned in my opinion were the 1-yard TD run by VT and the the sideline catch by the VT WR.

The lack of holding calls and the two pass interference calls were just plain blatant favoritism. I don't know how else you could explain it.

I thought the broadcast crew for our game was pretty entertaining and they did call the refs out, but so far this year the officiating and broadcasting has really taken a nosedive.

Yeah, I liked the broadcast crew. Very funny. The officials were obviously favoring VT though.

For GT to win, we have to beat the other team and the officials. In all sports. There's no other way to put it.
