Hot takes from CPJ haters

On a somewhat related note, Jeff Schultz has been really positive on Johnson ever since he did that hour-long podcast with him, where Johnson was personable and told funny stories and didn't bristle up at every question.

If Johnson was that way all the time, a lot of the PR problems he and Tech have had over the last decade would've largely been avoided. I like Johnson but a lot of his problems have been avoidable.

Tech played (and nearly won) three ACCCGs.

Northwestern's last conference championship was 2000 and first division championship is this year. They get to "compete" against Ohio State.

Beating uga too much is what got Gailey fired, right?

anddddd this is why i don't social media. idiots with an artificial platform. one of the best things I've done is delete all my social media accounts. haven't missed reading peoples' stupid ass opinions one bit. ill stick to my own stupid ass opinions, and those on StinGTalk.

öööö Jeff Schultz and Mark Bradley. They spend all of their time shitting on GT and it’s coach and in turn make recruiting harder for us. Then when we have a coaching change they say stuff like this - the guy I spent 11 years denigrating was really good and Tech was lucky to have him.

öööö those guys.

Agreed. Especially Bradley. That guy is the dirty diaper of journalist. He is awful

Schultz liked PJ even before that podcast.
We can trace any contention with the media to the Chernoff "gotcha" style interview for early in PJ's tenure. There were media types sounding negative tones from the get go and their tune never changed.
But look at Kelly Quinlan's tweets about how much he liked and respected PJ and even Dukes and Bell talked about how much they liked talking to PJ off the air.
This whole PJ vs the media was way overblown.
But I bet he wouldn't mind meeting Mark Bradley in a dark alley....

Dane is just setting himself up to be the leader of the resistance to whoever is hired next because he’s butthurt about CPJ leaving.

CPJ leaving feels like my dog died, but öööö you if you think that I don't want the next coach to be more successful than CPJ. And if he doesn't do well, I won't pitch a fit and threaten to stop supporting the program like some of y'all.

Yep. öööö em. Paul Johnson was a dick to the media, but it's kind of understandable when, after like 30 years of consistent success, he still got non stop questioning about whether his scheme can work at X level.

wonder if this tool has looked at Stanford's record this year. Also, the Pac 12 sucks. And Duke does not compete for conference titles every year. They've been to the ACCCG once in the Cutcliffe era, correct? Same for Northwestern.
