I was reading an article on the "AT&T Red River Rivalry" coming up this weekend, and I decided to wikipedia the strange change in name. Apparently, back in 2005, SBC became the offical sponser of the rivalry, so they pre-fixed the name of the game with their own. As if having a corporate sponser put their name on the rivalry wasn't gay enough, SBC, which is now part of AT&T, demanded the the name used for the rivalry for a 100 years, the Red Rivalry Shootout, be changed because it implied too much violence. Ahhh, the demasculation of America. Anyone got any good ideas for modified versions of our rivalry's name?

Until we can beat their tails again I don't really even feel entitled to call it a "rivalry." I dread that it's about to be the Clean Old-Fashioned 8. I'm just glad that we have a coach and an attitude that I know is going to get us a W in the series soon, if not this year.

I heard that on even years, when the game is played in Athens it will be named:

The Greater Athens Area Bail Bonds Clean Old-Fashioned Saint Richt Classic
--where we'll get the boys out of jail in time for kickoff.
 
I was thinking something along the lines of...

The "Let's not keep score", "everyone wins", "its not who wins", "get in touch with your inner child", "let's not offend any freakin' body", "alcohol-free koolaid" Athletic festival contest event for good sportsmanship and global warming hands across Georgia thing.
