How Do We Get Up for Virginia?

Our players, coaches and fans are all emotionally drained after the FSU game. But, the reality is that we have to overcome the emotional exhaustion, the injuries and a hungry Virginia team that is fighting to save its coach's job.

I can't quit thinking about the FSU ending. How can the players? How can we overcome everything and win this next game?

I knew we'd give FSU our best shot, but it still took a handful of miraculous events to beat them, and we got even more people injured.

So, how do the coaches get themselves and the players recovered from the emotional exhaustion of the FSU game and focused on Virginia? I think this will be the hardest thing Coach Johnson will have to do all season.

Because you set yourself a new goal of winning out and they're the next game.

Our guys haven't tasted victory for so long they're not going to just let it go away one week later. I have no concerns for holdover or focus for the remainder of the year.

We're 3-5. There is still way too much to play for. I can't see the team NOT getting up for this game.

if this was a nooner i'd be more worried about coming out flat.

It didn't take a miraculous event to beat FSU. The runback was great, but our D was killing it all game. FSU had 10 pts off of turnovers. The mustered 2 first half fieldgoals.

Our O was moving in the second half, even if they couldn't reach the endzone.

Don't fool yourself. We would have won in overtime.

Same way you get it up for your wife.. pretend youre playing with someone else

As much as some in here like to downplay it, I don't think this team wants to be the team that breaks the bowl streak. They still have something to work towards, and it's a lot more realistic now thanks to the FSU win.

BS. GTFLETCH already made an official thread that the bowl streak is over. Then again, he didn't put "OFFICIAL" in the title so maybe it's not officially official.

Do you remember the last GT team that was worse than 0.500 in conference? Neither do I. That is what this team has to play for in addition to the bowl streak.

I read virginia as something else in the thread title and reported it.

A case of Zima, a bottle of amyl nitrites and a family-sized jar of petroleum jelly.

Sorry, thought you meant how are they getting ready for us.

This is the thing more or less. It also comes up in the locker room video after the game.

Honestly, I'd of been more worried about us coming out flat if we had lost the game.

So you're saying we shouldn't have any problems getting it up for Virginia?
