Give coach Tenuta a $150,000 raise.

We got Paul Johnson on the cheap, imo. he even took less money to come here.

Everyone is drueling over the possiblity of CPJ and CJT coaching on the same sideline.

D-RAD has got to know this. I wonder how hard he's working to make this happen?

Dems?

Keep the dream alive!!!!!

I think Tenuta is great but I want the HFC to have a DC he feels comfortable working with. If that isn't JT, then I wish him the best and I'll support whoever he brings on board to replace him. The AD should stay out of that process and let CPJ do the job he was hired for.

Drad has nothing to do with the staff except background checks and agree to payment. That is usually in the agreement, that the HC gets to pick his assistants.

Maybe everyone but Johnson and Tenuta are drooling over the thought wesley. DRad already hired the coach he's supposed to hire. The rest is up to PJ. Also, it's funny how our HC salary just went from $1M to at least $1.7M plus incentives and you think we hired him on the cheap?

AMEN AMEN Cyclejacket, my feelings exactly. I hope CPJ and CJT can make a go of it but if it's not for CPJ, then best wishes to JT and good luck in the future.

I think people may be missing the entire boat with Tenuta. I would love for Tenuta to stay. That said, if Tenuta is not here next year, did anyone think that it may be because he didn't want to be?

We may not be in the financial position to offer Tenuta who is already one of the highest paid DC's in the country a 40% raise. Especially when he is getting offered more by other schools.

I guess he means we got it for a good value for the money, which is my belief too. Especially since we are paying him less than others offered. but all that remains to be seen.

shutup monkey man. I prefer to spell drooling drueling as in dueling or rueling....okay!?

I've always enjoyed watching a Tenuta defense confound quarterbacks and tear apart an offensive line on the way, but if he leaves, then he leaves. We had horrid corners this season. It's a go for broke blitz strategy, and it's fun to watch, but doesn't always work. If he's gone, I hope he is successful somewhere else, at some school we'll never ever play.

And I can see him leaving, as he wants to be an HC somewhere. And it's not going to be here any time soon. If he's gone - good luck, God bless, and don't come back. Please.

I think everyone is so happy Chan is gone that they were willing to pony up for his buyout...yet they wouldn't do the same for our defense.

They felt like all the work has been done.

I probably don't know what I'm talking about but I have a feeling it just might make sense.

I believe in what Jon Tenuta has been doing for us. I feel like some have just cast him aside...which is your prerogative...I just don't feel like 90% of us are fighting for him, which is a BIG surprise in my book.

He's all we've had these last few years. RESPECT.

Tenuta is gone.

A couple of comments on Tenuta.

1) He doesn't like to recruit. Johnson has a different approach to recruiting. He strongly believes that every coach has responsibility in recruiting. Tenuta does not fit this mold.

2) Chan and Tenuta didn't get along. This is no secret. There were major trust issues between Chan and Tenuta. You can bet that CPJ will build a staff around him that he can trust. The chances that the new head coach will come in, and keep on staff, a coordinator who couldn't get along with the previous head coach....slim to none. College football coaching is a cut-throat business. That is why so many coaches surround themselves with their friends. TRUST.

There will be a firm announcement about Tenuta leaving immediately after the bowl game.

Wesley everyone does not share your . . .

. . . opinion of Tenuta. He was part of all the 7-5 seasons, 6 losses to UGA (including 51-7 worst all time in history of series). Also was part of several other all time worst defeats in Tech history.

He is part of the old regime and needs to go. Coach Johnson will get someone he feels confident in.

Go Jackets!

This is asinine.

I suppose since George O'Leary was part of a 1-10 season in 1994 one of our all-time worst seasons, he should have been gone with Bill Lewis, too?

He is part of the old regime and needs to go.

Giff Smith is "part of the old regime", too. Do you want him gone?

Dear ArchiTECH,

I want to have hot monkey sex with you.

Just had the compulsion to say it,

Well, it was a secret to me. Rumor had it that nix and Tenuta didn't get along, but I never heard anything about friction between Tenuta and the former hfc. In fact the former hfc gave Tenuta complete control over the D while he (the former hfc) fiddled with and mucked up the O. As stubborn and hard headed as the former hfc was about things, I doubt that he would have given JT any more latitude with the D than he gave nix with the O unless he trusted JT explicitly.

But then again, who really knows what went on between the former hfc and his staff during the last 6 years.

Yeah, you're right. We need t hire Ted Roof.:ugh:

Again, it really doesn't matter how badly we want Tenuta if he wants to leave.
