How is Nesbitt????

Per the AJC...

" Quarterback Josh Nesbitt hurt his right ankle on a third-quarter run. Coach Paul Johnson said X-rays were negative and described it as a sprained or turned ankle."

Knock on wood, it doesn't sound as serious as it could have been.

After they retaped his ankle on the sideline, Josh walked around on the sideline and jogged back and forth some, I figure they were testing out the ankle. I'm no doctor, but it seems like a positive that he was able to do that much within 15 minutes or so of the original injury.

Yea, I saw that but also saw that he was shaking his head with a slight grimace on his face then he was taken into the locker room.

Yeah, we can't afford to lose him. And man we need the other half of our secondary back.

Oh sure, I'm not saying he was great. But I'd think that him being able to get around on that ankle is a somewhat positive sign for next week.

But whatever. We'll know when we know.

My thoughts plus two. I think he'll be good to go. He wasn't doing a lot of running around the last time he hurt himself.

Since the rays are negative, won't the biggest factor be how much swelling occurs in the next 24 hours?

What's the over/under on it being caused by a dirty Criminole at the bottom of a pile?

One of our offensive linemen got his foot between Josh's feet on the way down and rolled his ankle. It looked bad, but not Houston receiver into the cart bad.

I guess when they said QB's get knocked up quite a bit in the Offense, they weren't kidding.

The thing is, Josh has had two freak injuries that aren't related to taking hits in the offense. He pulled a hammy which can happen to anyone who scrambles, and he got his feet tangled with an o-lineman.

It's not like he getting concussions, or a separated shoulder, or something like that.

His feet got tangled on a designed run play. That still qualifies as being related to an offense in which the QB has to make a lot of plays with his body.

I hope when the diagnosis comes out the words "high" and "ankle" aren't included.
