Expressing displeasure with Gailey?
Petitioning for Coach Mac?
Threatened to reduce monetary contributions?

Just curious...

I have written to Clough on another matter involving GT football, not on the criteria you have listed.

On Mac, I accepted DB's position and decision when he made his announcement. So, I didn't write then.

On CCG, ask again when the season is over, then I'll decide if it's appropriate to drop someone a letter.

Not me, it too premature. I will at least wait until the football season and recruiting is over. Any other move will be similar to AJC's negative reaction to hurt Tech's recruiting.

I am surprised that with all the displeasure posted on this board concerning Gailey, etc., not many have expressed those sentiments to the ones responsible for his hire....

Ah and 71, I can agree with you based on what stands today, if we continue to slide... I dont know....

Jacketguy - we are not the BIG MONEY and our opinions count for squat, except to each other.

JacketGuy, I am playing the waiting game, but I will probably be more definitive when I find out the real cause of the problem. At present it is up in the air for me. I would hate to run Gailey off, if the problem was coming from O'Brien and players backing BOB.

If a situation was present like that, we would be worse by running of the guiltless one and keeping the guilty one. So, I will wait to see how it washes.

Toe Meets Leather, those that are advocating Mac as a replacement for Gailey really have their head in the sand. There is less chance of one of the old staff getting the head coaching job than O'Leary replacing Willingham at Notre Dame.

Good point Ah... hopefully we will see some improvement on Saturday... I really want Gailey to do well... not so much because I am a supporter of Gailey, but because I want to see Tech do well... it doesnt matter to me who it is... as long as we play hard, sound, football... and win when we should... and a few times when we shouldnt...

Now that is something that I totaly agree with Jacketguy. I am convinced that there is a lot more going on politically than we will ever know. Lets give a good proven coach a chance to work through it all I still believe Chan will get it done.

I have written re displeasure with season, dullness/lack of enthusiasm/emotion, Chan, BOB, and need for reassessment at season's end. I have had a bit of writer's remorse, as I am still hoping Chan and Co. will turn it around. Probably we should wait and see what happens with recruiting and next year's games.

Hope Chan will succeed, but we are well past the point of going through a 3 - 5 year rebuilding and at the same time giving more money. If it were not to work out I would like us to go after Beamer or Butch Davis, and I mean GO AFTER THEM.

Its not posted on RR.com but I would assume its

Dave Tech.. I hear you ... although I am not so sure I agree with you... I am still a supporter of Gailey, I want to see him/them do well... but I dont see anything wrong with expressing displeasure when things are not looking good, or going in the wrong direction.... just because someone is not a "Big Money" supporter today, doesnt mean they wont be in the future etc. I think it is healthy that our fan base has gotten to the point that we are not as accepting of losing as we were in the 70's and 80's... the guys steering the ship need to hear that...
