Our ratio looks pretty doggone good. I love how well our RBs take care of the ball and how TB knows not to make mistakes. This looks a lot like a pro offense.

We're up 5-0 in TOs if I'm not mistaken.

Zero...

Taylor threw two that could have been picked off by Notre Dame but were not.

We have forced 5 fumbles over the past two games

Remind me of the two that could have been picked off by TB. I do not remember that at all.

There was one intended for Mike Cox that was tipped at the line and went deep into the ND secondary. I can't think of the other one off-hand.

Taylor threw one right to a defensive lineman when he was almost sacked. I don't know why we're concentrating on these, though.

Last year, we didn't have many picks. It seems like one of our many problems was that we didn't get many turnovers. Now, we did against VT, but Reggie tried his best to negate those.

I recall two I thought were going to be picked against ND:
  1. Taylor made a great play to step up in the pocket and avoid rush coming from both sides, but then he forced a ball about 15 yards downfield - the DB had a better shot at it than our guy.
  2. The second was a tipped ball that almost went right into the arms of a ND DL, but he didn't react in time to catch it.

Yeah, even so, neither of those were sure things. They were both 50/50 at best, so I still think we're doing well in the TO ratio department. And no fumbles either, except for when Kyle Manley's fingers are covered in jello.

i remember the tip but that does happen and it didn't seem like it was close to being intercepted. I didn't TIVO the game and was watching from pretty far away.

I realyl don't remember anything else almost being intercepted at all.

Okay...

It was the 2nd series of the 2nd quarter for Tech's offense. The score was 9-0 with roughly 7:30 left of the game clock. Taylor had a pass batted down by #96 Pat Kuntz on 1st down. On 2nd down, Bennett was pressured and tried to get rid of the ball. It looked like someone may have hit the ball or his arm as he released it because the ball only traveled about 3 or 4 yards into the ground and almost in the hands of Kuntz who was digusted that he missed it. On 3rd down,Taylor threw a quick one to the left sideline, intended for Greg Smith, that #8 McNeil stepped in front of and got two hands on. Fortunately, he dropped the ball. We punted on 4th down.

Exactly Mustang - those are the same two I'm talking about.
