How will Marcus Wright fit into the game plan for Clemson.

I was wondering now that he is no longer redshirted when/what can we expect to see him do during the home stretch of the season? Will he see the significant PT during the Clemson game...

Anyone have an objective performance of how he looked during his debut. I wasn't at the game and only heard it on the radio....It was hard for me to judge really w/ everyone/everything being so badly out of cink to evaluate him....Outside of his fumble...

Anyway...I really want him to be able to step in and provide a threat to break it loose down the sideline....4.3 speed!

I wish him luck & success the rest of the season...It will be interesting to see if he plays during the Clemson game & what his role(s) will be...Thoughts/Ideas?

Punt/Kick returner...Come on O-Line lets step it up & let our backs take it to the TIGERS come Saturday...Maybe this game will LULL Clemson into thinking they're going to walk all over us & we STEAM ROLL 'EM and hang 40+ (after an intense week of practice).

He won't play long against Clemson if he fumbles the ball again. That fumbled pitch is what I'm sure CPJ was trying to alleviate by lettin #3 play against GW.

He's listed at 5' 8" on our roster. I would say 5' 6" is the reality. I just don't see him making much of an impact in a GT uniform, with or without dropped balls...

Wright will play in Peeples spot for the Clemson game and probably several others. From some reports Peeples may be done for a while.

Yea, that kid from LSU is about 5'5"-5'6" and runs a 4.2-4.3 40 and he is horrible...

Yep, kinda like that Jerry Mays fella, no good at all!

I hope I'm wrong. BTW, Jerry Mays was definitely 5'7" to 5'8". I in the GTAA with him at the time.

And Jerry was significantly better, granted he had an OL to run behind...

IIRC, PJ ran some little fellas out there at Navy. Wright will be alright if he holds onto the ball and follows his blockers well.

holy crap, marcus wright looks like a little kid out there when he plays! he's got some speed though and he's great for the a-back spot. he'll be perfect for the pitch because he can work in space. I don't know how effective of a blocker he'll be though.

I don't know what it is about our A-backs, they aren't making as many plays I expected them to make.

Anyone play NCAA Football 09 with this offense? I usually make the big plays with a fast HB at A-back. I even had to move Dwyer out of the FB depth chart into the HB one so he would stand as an AB.

Not that I'm comparing a video game to real life or anything. ;)

Defensive coordinators are better at taking the A back away than the computer AI. Basically.

Would anyone object to giving him a shot at returning punts? I think a small, speedy guy would give us a new/better dimension in the return game. Anyone out there agree?

Depends. If he is a dancer like Melton, it won't matter. If he can be a shifty RUNNER he might be alright.

Why not? Kelley Rhino is listed as 5'7 and he had his own chant!

RHINO! RHINO! RHINO!

Man, Kelley had a lot of balls. I remember him being injured and limping during his senior year but he still went out there and refused to call fair catch.
