How would you rate the ACC Coaching Staffs?

Based on (1) Ability to "coach up" your talent; (2) Ability to recruit..sell your school (3) Run a clean program. Obviously very subjectively and with 33% weight on each factor I would put (in no particular order) Maryland, Wake and UVa in the top third; FSU, Clemson and NC St in the middle third and UNC, Duke and Tech( even though the jury is still out on Tech recruiting...early indications are not encouraging)) in the bottom tier. I would also almost swap Duke and Clemson given Duke's uphill battle to recruit.

I rate them exactly the same right now. However, I think that Tech will move to the middle after we do some heavy duty recruiting. Next year we will move to the top when we get an OC.

1)Friedgen(unblievable 1st yr, recruiting well)
2)Grobe(solid improvement on a disaster. RSing)
3)Groh(Unmatched recruiting. Team going up)
4)Amato(teams play well. Needs more studs)
5)Bunting(Can't keep team up ea wk. Recruits)
6)Gailey(Popular, knowledgable. Too early)
7)B Bowden(Fantastic recruiter, fun. Past prime)
8)T Bowden(Next step out door. Not doing it)
9)Franks(No on everything)

Subject to change, but at this juncture:

Tie for top with Friegden and Grobe, Groh, Amato, Bunting, Papa Bowden (fading with age), Gailey (on paper only), T. Bowden (agree, fading fast), and Franks.

Grobe may get the most out of the least of any coach in the league.

That is a tough one but let try.

1-Groh
2-Friedgen
3-Grobe
4-Amato
5-B-Bowden
6-Bunting
7-T-Bowden
8-Gailey-Really too early to judge. Have not been
impressed.
9-Franks-This is on merit.

In my opinion Grobe is the class of the conference
as a pure coach. Just not enough talent.
