Lets say we are up 30+ points on JSU saturday early in the 3rd quarter and Tevin pulls a hammy. Who goes in??????

David Sims
Quentin Sims
Jim Henry

Do you play D.Sims in case Tevin is out against Clemson he will have some game reps if called upon?

Do you you play Q.Sims to try and save D.Sims redshirt?

Can Jim Henry run the offense well enough to get the 2nd and 3rd team good reps in mop up duty?

IMHO I would put D.Sims in the game. Nobody really knows when Jaybo will be game ready. Worse case scenario is he misses the season. Best case scenario is he is 100% for the FSU game. We witnessed last year that we need 3 quality QB's to be ready to play. Nothing against Jim Henry, but he is not a D1 quarterback. Quentin Sims is physically capable, but can he make the proper checks/reads/throws to play in a meaningful game? I'll be the first to admit that I doubt D.Sims is "ready", but I think he needs the experience now if needed later.

Thoughts???
 
Quentin Sims gets snaps at QB on Saturday. He's been taking reps at the #3 since Jaybo went down, and PJ said on his radio show that Quentin ran a similar offense in high school, and that some of his reads look as good or better than even Nesbitt.
 
Rip off Jaybo's sling and put him in ... not just kidding. That's a toughie. But I know that CPJ already has a plan for it.
 
IMO QB depth is one thing we DON'T have to worry about as much this year...at least not when compared to last year.

Losing Jaybo hurt...yes...but this year we at least have some servicable freshman should anyone else go down(no offense to Booker)
 
Tevin will take snaps in the second half if were up 30.

Quentin Sims will take snaps in second half if were up 40.

Jim Henry might even take a few snaps if were up 50 just to get some playing time.

David Sims will only play in emergency injury situations during big games. Not JSU, nowhere near worth burning the redshirt.
 
can we not talk about QBs and hammys? or quads, or feet, or arms, etc. :) Here's a hypethetical: What happens if not a single skill possition player gets hurt the entire year? :D
