Ok, we lost a hard one today. But not all losses are created equal (outside of the W/L column). We've had some bad beats before, ala Clemson 10 days ago. We made some mistakes today, true, but we made some significant improvements from game 4 to game 5. We ran the ball much better. Interior and perimeter blocking was clearly improved. Our ability to hold and move the ball has me more encouraged than anything I've seen us do all year.

So I'm fairly convinced we've taken positive strides. I would have loved a W today and without those 2 god awful scoop and scores, we probably win. Next week is the real tell. Let's get a win on the road at Pitt and see if we can't make something happen in the back half of this season.

Me neither

Fought two Miami homos on MARTA on the way home though.

Don't tell them it was me

Wheeeeeeeeee. Went do the chop block

I'm with you 100%. I know you can't look at football this way, but take out the two fluke scoop-n-scores and this game would've gone to OT at 21-21. We proved our D is capable enough to stop them and we ran our offense as we wanted on most drives. I came away with a positive outlook. Here's to PITT.

Clemson wasn't that bad once we got our legs under us.

We are a good team we just need to start acting like it. And need to start believing it when we play "good teams"

Yeah that uga ending quickly dissipated my butthurt from today's game. Watching Clemson manhandle Louisville is making me feel even better about our performance last Thursday.

Shit sucks, you can't give up dumbass touchdowns like today's and call yourself a good team. But the pieces and capability are very obviously there, especially compared to last year. I'm an eternal optimist about our team, but I really do think our hardest games are behind us and every game we have left is totally winnable.

You actually think we are going to go on the road next week and beat Pitt?

The team that's barely holding on to a 3 point lead over Marshall right now?

Yeah. As long as we don't invent even more retarded ways of handing over points than the last two games, I think we will win.

I thought the 3 game stretch of Clemson, Miami, and Pitt would define our season. My worst fear was that would lose all 3. We are a fragile team right now. I cannot spot a leader on this team that can help light a fire. It would be nice if Jt was that player. How many times does he go to the sideline with his head down after a stalled drive?
