My long post on the Hive didn't last two minutes.

Here's the deal. Chan has two problems that he must make major changes: Special Teams (we're the worst in the NCAA) and his early game motivation (we're the worst in the NCAA in that too). Oh one more: We play to our competition (this is Chan's biggest problem IMO).

So what has to change if it isn't all Chan? OUR QB is horrible! We can not beat stout teams and we aren't beating Miami or UGA. So let's put in Bennett or whomever!!!! We have some talent coming back next year, CHAN Don't Blow it! Put in Bennett.

p.s. Tenuta got completely outcoached today.

Reggie's runs that Read Option terribly. And all UVA did all game was show coverage on CJ but then shift to the other side because they could see that Reggie can not look off a receiver! And he missed wide open players all night. And this has been going on forever.

PLEASE PUT IN ANOTHER QB.

i thoughT you were a mod on the hive?
anyway, i agree that reggie is still not a good QB, but i don't have a lot of confidence that Bennett or anyone else will be any better...we've had AJ, Bilbo and Reggie and we haven't developed any of them into even a middle tier BCS conference calibre QB...

So you are the guy that wanted to ditch Joe Hamilton back in 1997? There goes your credibility.

I think we will see Garner on the field some next year...but he will not start until he is a So-R in 2007.

We just have to hope Ball has the type of senior year that Campbell had at Auburn and Randall at VaTech. They were average up until then.

Campbell played well his sophomore year as well once he was the undisputed starter. That year his OC was Bobby Petrino. His senior year was the first year of Al Borges.

Along those lines, I don't expect the offense to do much at all if Tech doesn't go out and get a real OC this offseason.

Campbell was a disaster as a junior...of course SoCal and ourselves started him off on the wrong foot by completely messing with his mind. He never regained composure that year.

You\'re missing a big point.

Granted Reggie is not a world beater but the issue has more to do with our coaching staff developing a QB. I don't think we have the right person handling QBs right now and until that changes it doesn't matter who you put out on the field. I'm also not convinced that our offensive scheme is necessarliy the best one for him. Just one man's opinion.

Re: You\'re missing a big point.

I completely agree, GTP, that the fastest way to improve at QB is to have someone develop the one we have. The longer-term solution is to recruit some talent.

Actually I am not he, but I've seen enough and Reggie has completely stopped improving. Sorry, but just time to move on to the next option. Reggie is just not showing the ability to lead a team in a tough environment.

Exactly my point. His offensive coordinator was a complete joke that year. Do you realize he had a different OC every year he was at Auburn?

My point was that he played lights out when he had proper coaching. Surely Tech could learn a lesson here...
