You know what I have been reading on here and on bbuzzoff?

"If we play like we did against JSU (insert team) will beat us"

What the hell is wrong with you people. All I have heard from these message boards the past two damn days is straight negativity with little positive things to say about the effort on Saturday.

About 80% of the people on these boards are saying "Oh well....Clemson will beat us if we play like this, or FSU and MIA would both beat us at this point".

Did you all not learn anything from last year in that PJ's teams usually do a complete turn around if he isn't happy?!

Buck up, guys! We did have some positives in that game. All of you guys are freaking out over our negatives but are laying down at the feet of other teams for their positives.

Clemson's offense wasn't stellar against MTU, FSU and MIA's defense's look porous. FSU's offense isn't great. 7 points of MIA's score at the half came off a busted coverage.

Chill out, stop the handwaving freak out crap and let's rally as a fan base and think about some of the good things in the games and stop worrying about all of there other teams' positives and think of the negatives they are doing as well.

I am also not saying we were perfect, we have some issues, but if let's compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. No sense on harping on the good guys without consideration of the negatives of the bad guys too.

Nesbitt himself said they are focusing on the negative play so it doesn't happen again. If the football team does it, why can't we?

You can, though I would argue it's more practical for a team to do this than the fans. I would expect for our guys to focus on what they need to correct, but as fans I think it's okay to acknowledge that the opposition has weaknesses too which can impact the game. It's really impossible to say that "if we play like that against Clemson we will lose" (and yes, I realize PJ basically said this) without taking into account how Clemson will play...especially when it's not really clear yet how good Clemson really will be under Dabo.

I'm sure there are Clemson fans saying similar things like "If our receivers can't hold on to the ball, we will lose to Tech" but it's possible for both teams to play like crap and amazingly one team will still get a win regardless.

We can look at negatives, but we must look at the negatives of other teams too, that's what's pissing me off.

Everyone is freaking out because they are not comparing our positives to their positives and negatives to their negatives.

Everyone is comparing out negatives to their positives without even thinking about their problems.

Nope, need more points at the end of 4 quarters to win, but seriously, its not really pessimism... More like anxiety because Tech has no excuse not to beat the piss out of every team on our schedule this year, every single one. We are solid on both sides of the ball, the novelty of our offense provides an edge, and our coach knows how to win and can get excellence out of his players.

It's just the standard OH GOD PLEASE DON'T CHOKE tech anxiety that comes around when our team is good.

It seems that everyone forgot about our game against gardner-webb and eventual wins against FSU, Miami, and UGA.

If we play like we did against Jax St., we'll lose. I don't think we'll play like that though. I'll be cheering louder than anyone else on Thursday night.

PJ himself said, "if we play like this against Clemson we're gonna lose". And it's true. Maybe you dont like hearing the truth, but it is true, if we play like that against many other FBS teams we lose. So get over it. Is anyone saying we're gonna lose all of our games? No! They're just pointing out the obvoius truth.
