They need to change it to something like the fragrant rule in the NBA. Have different levels with different penalties.
Well Thacker was probably busy sitting down with his thumb us his rear.We have a guy with incredible athletic ability and passion that plays with terrible technique. Didn’t see any coaches talking to him afterwards to tell him what he’s doing wrong - just a few people slapping hands and telling him it’s okay. Maybe that’s part of the problem.
And pulling out a plum, and saying "what a good coach am I!"Well Thacker was probably busy sitting down with his thumb us his rear.
This is a reach. We have a guy with incredible athletic ability and passion that plays with terrible technique. Didn’t see any coaches talking to him afterwards to tell him what he’s doing wrong - just a few people slapping hands and telling him it’s okay. Maybe that’s part of the problem.
It's seriously straight garbage when compared with the one they reviewed early for them and didn't call targeting, coach lost us this game but the refs sure didn't helpHe absolutely did NOT deserve the ejection. Rewatch the play. Hell, the opposing player actually helped his helmet off. It was bullshit
It hasn’t stopped the hits
Probably 1 on average. Usually Charlie Thomas for dropping his helmetI wasn't able to see the replay well from where I was so can't comment on this specific one, but I'd say those types of hits have absolutely gone way down in large part to how severe the consequences are.
I think the rule is fine now that they are obligated to review every one. Back when you couldn't review it was pretty dumb.
Also, saying 2-3 people are ejected per game seems like an exaggeration. I'd say it's normally one at most, and often not even that.
If your entire defense falls apart when you lose one guy that you didn’t even recruit and it’s year 4, you’re a öööö coach.
Sorry, OP. Who cares about the rule right now? I just want Geoff Collins to never step foot onto Tech’s campus ever again.
ARTICLE 3. No player shall target and make forcible contact against an opponent with the crown of his helmet. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting (See Note 1 below). When in question, it is a foul.
