Our first quarter defense is and only is one thing - smart people taking total advantage of Tenuta's stubbornness. I wouldn't be surprised if Chan blasted Tenuta over the headphones between the first and second quarter. If there's any coaching at fault for today's loss, it's Jon's. Take those first two drives away from UVA and they only score one offensive TD, after a redzone fumble. Take the first two drives from BC and we likely win that game too. I'm getting pretty sick of watching Tenuta put us in insurmountable holes by throwing ROCK. When the UVA Radio Announcers know what play you're going to call, certainly the other team's coaches do.

The score would have been 23 to 14 Tech if we had not given them 2 touchdowns.
The offense is what killed us. With all our great field positons, we should have scored at lest 3 more touchdowns.

Ok, more seriously, once Tenuta started to mix defensive calls up (2nd quarter and on) we did great. Once he stopped calling ROCK every play. Superb defense from then on. But the first two drives were all blitzes, and UVA did all either max-protects, or hot reads, or runs/counters away from the blitz.
