Would you prefer to go 7-5 with all your losses to higher teams and all your wins vs lower teams, or would you prefer to go 7-5 with some big wins and bad losses?

Essentially, would you rather were were a consistent 7-5, or an inconsistent 7-5?

Personally, given a choice between the two, I'd take the inconsistent version, because at least then I have a reason to watch every game.

The new International Routes have proven fruitful, right?
Yes, and many are just in the early stages. As they mature they should become even more profitable.

And the Beijing routes begin next March!

Would you prefer more posters like ARCHitech or more posters like BOR?

I demand no other posters like me. This board is only big enough for one of us.

As for demanding inconsistency. beej, you are an idiot. But you're one of my favorite posters on the board. Hey. You demanded inconsistency.

I demand fewer false dilemmas created by beej!

Alright, here's a good one:

Would you rather bathe old women or shoot guns?

I swear to GOD I got asked that on one of those dumbass personality tests that guidance counselors used to make you take, and now it seems every corporation above 20 employees also makes you take, for personality profiling reasons. Those things seriously piss me off. Not only because anyone with half a brain can tailor their answers to produce whatever sort of result will be most favorable with the bosses, but the simple idea that my preference for bathing old women or shooting guns has any relevance to anyone who asks is clearly idiocy.

beej67,
shoots guns

While Tech is very inconsistent, we have a long way to go to match the Big Boys of inconsistency. That crown goes either to Auburn or Michigan State. Both of those teams have outstanding records against the 10, but both have inexplicable loses to unranked teams.

Are we talking Michelle Pfeiffer old women or Mother Teresa old women?

Hell, if we're talking about other programs, look at Clemson. Supposedly a football school. Easier in-state rival. Bigger stadium. Less academic restrictions. Better rated recruiting classes. More fans. More supportive fans. Bigger athletic budget. And yet since expansion Tech is beating Clemson in essentially every measure except maybe ticket sales.

accountability is what should be demanded..

especially from the HC. Give respect to whom respect is owed. If CCG had taken the infinite opportunities he has had to step up and say this one's on me guys, he may have more respect at this point. IIRC, this has never been the case. I love these players and this team and think they've given their all and they are undefeated in my mind as players. That thought is only MORE galvanized by not admitting your human error. This is one area where I give Weiss all the respect in the world, admitting and taking blame.
I"m not saying CCG IS responsible for all of our losses, but for goodness sakes, at some point over his tenure he should be on record for saying, "I caused the outcome today", shouldn't he?

just asking....

I don't know where you're getting that from. Chan has assumed full responsibility for stuff on many occasions, particularly when the fault was obviously on the heads of his coordinators and players.

O'Leary was a lot more likely to blame a player for a loss (Joe Burns after Maryland) than Gailey ever has been.
