I must say, i am not all for Mr. Houston playing on our team right now! ( Nor am i all against it) I want to tell you guys that i admire that fellow. After uga intercepted that last pass against us i looked to the GT sideline and what caught my eye was reuben houston walking in front of all the players yelling at them shaking his head up and down slapping them on the ass, now i dont know what was said but i'd hafta imagine that it was something along the lines of dont hang your heads this sh*t aint over lets get it done we still have a chance. After hearing what happened with reuben i was kind of angry at him, now i am pulling for him............not in whatever he does in our bowl game, but what happens for the rest of his life. He showed me the spark GT needs to become an elite football program, even if it is because that might have been his last game (or 2nd to last) ever before he is in jail for 5 to 10! Thank you REUB!

I sit in the upper east and was opposite GT's bench, so I did not see that happen. I was watching Reggie angle to the sidelines trying to Jennings I believe out of bounds.

GT needs gusy like Reuben Houston. Now you know I'm not talking about guys who get in trouble with the law.
But guys who fight, and claw, and never give up.

1) Reuben retained so much information about GT's defense, Chan made it a point to mention that several times.
2) Reuben is obviosuly still in great shape.
3) Most importantly, he got back into school and is working toward graduating.

I won't speak of his charges b/c I just don't know all the info. But Reuben is a worker and I salute him and the rest of the Tech seniors.

Great post KJ!! Reuben looks to be trying to do the right things and I hope he can stay on that track in his life. I am going to miss this senior class BAD! Eric Henderson, PJ, Reis... DAMN.... ALL OF THEM!!

Me too GTDean

This senior class is one helluva group. Kathy and I think the world of them. Their leadership thru some terribly trying times has been nothing short of inspiring. I believe that they have imparted a new spirit on the GT campus. If the younger guys take the baton and run their leg of the race, we are going to be hard to handle by anybody in this league.

Reuben Houston is a a great player who made a mistake. Regardless of how good or bad a player he was though, I think he deserves every opportunity to be on the field with his teammates. I love his spirit and enthusiasm.
