of folks thought coming in. I think most Tech fans knew how the past few seasons have gone and saw the WVU game and/or score and assumed they were a bad team. Wouldn't suprise me at all if they win 7/8 games this year.

I think it was a great win against a pretty good team when it seemed like everything was going wrong.

On a side note, we have to do something about the field goal kicking situation. Easily could of cost us this game and might down the road - main reason we lost the NC State game last year.

Very true. With Durant Brooks being the obvious exception (All Acc possible) and our K Rhino clone returning punts (sorry, too lazy to go get the program), ST still stink.

I agree about umd getting a lot better. Their QB is a good one. He picked up our outside blitz all day and knew to throw to the open spot.
Friedgen is still very bright. He is also Very Big! I hope he tries to take care of himself.

We look great on punts. Yowieyowie looks good on kickoffs, but our coverage still lapses. I think Bell will be okay - it was just one crossbar. His other two misses on the season are a bad snap and an attempt from 50.

I agree, but I don't think they're that good either. I'd say better than the NCSU team that we lost to last year, but not as good as the VT team we crushed last week. They'll upset somebody else in the ACC this season off of good coaching and execution.

Hollenbach gets mad props from me. We put a beating on that kid the whole game and he kept standing tall in the pocket, taking hits, and making throws.

I don't think our kickoffs are high enough. We need more hang time to allow coveraget to get downfield. Long line drives just give them more time on the return.

After our win @ VPI, I was worried about two games: NCST & Maryland. Something about Maryland scared me, maybe it was the fact that Ralph is due for a win against us. My concern about the NCST game is self explanatory.

Ralph may have saved himself coaching wise at umd. Hollenbach sure seems like a fridge qb. Intelligent enough to understand defenses and athletic enough.
