I hate the ACC

Any chance we could make that Independent thing work the second time around if the SEC won't take us?

I'll be the first to post what a stupid idea that is. We're not Notre Dame. We can't get a TV contract to play the San Diego St's of the world. It wouldn't work. And we won't be going to the SEC either. That's a less stupid idea, but it's still stupid.
 
Im just sick of the refs, remember BC last year? were the refs 2 years ago vs Notre Dame ACC refs? I really dont know.
Just sick of BS calls, they really need to review them.
 
Maybe the Big 12 will make a play for Arkansas or Vanderbilt's administration will decide that their athletic budget of $2000 is too much and pull out. Then maybe we could slide back in.

And with Bobby A**hole Petrino leading the Hogs, you know that first situation is a realistic possibility.
 
I'm not even saying I totally support it, but it actually makes more sense historically, and I know we've have this dicussion before, for Arkansas to be in place of Baylor, and us and Clemson to be in SEC in place of them and Vandy.
 
First step toward fixing the ACC is dumping Swofford, and putting somebody in who cares not just in $$$ and basketball, but all around quality. All ref crews not headed by Jack Childress suck. The bowl selection is deplorable. The ACC has no business sending their LAST PLACE team to the Emerald Bowl ... or any other team... past, present, or future. A bowl on a baseball field that's a home game for whichever 6-6 Pac-10 team manages to squeak in? Oh wow I'm excited for that! I also don't like the geographic footprint. BC needs to go. I wouldn't shed a tear to dump Maryland either. I'd far prefer Florida/UCF. I balk at ECU because I don't want to see another North Carolina unholy marriage dominating the league offices. I'd also like to at least see a streaming service for non-televised games in many sports. ACC Select makes me bleed from the rectum. It doesn't work on Linux. It doesn't work on Macs. It's choppy on popular games. And if they can't get that right -- how about an ACC Network ala Big 10 Network.

This conference has an utter lack of vision and appreciation for quality. It's pretty clear leadership is whores for rent. You got the $$$? You got it!
 
damn swagger.... tell us how you really feel.

There's no way that Florida will leave the SEC anyway.
 
Sending teams out to bowl games Boise, ID and San Francisco, CA is all you need to know as far as the competency of the ACC administration goes.

We've been screwed ever since we joined. We took South Carolina's place, and they left the ACC because they were tired of being the whipping boy of the ACC officials. We took their place as the whipping boy.

When Homer Rice was asked why Bill Lewis failed, he said that Lewis got an unusual number of calls against him. (See FSU game). While there was more to it than that, it was a factor. It is amazing that an AD would make such a statement. Nothing has changed.

The ACC suxxxxx. Everytime I see a thread about pulling for some ACC team, I have to say to hell with the ACC. I might pull for an ACC team here or there, but I have no loyalty to a conference that has consistently screwed GT.
 
Wow.... I'd rather be in the ACC any day of the week.

Its bigger than football. The ACC has a much higher academic prestige than the SEC. Also, you really think we wouldnt get trounced in the SEC?!? Refs or not.

As for being an independent... we dont have the fan base to carry us. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this thread is filled with horrible ideas. The refs hosed us, we were the away team. Deal with it and move on.
