Athens — Roddy Jones rushed for 214 yards, including a decisive 54-yard touchdown midway through the fourth quarter, and No. 18 Georgia Tech overcame a 16-point halftime deficit to beat 13th-ranked Georgia for the first time since 2000, stunning the Bulldogs 45-42 Saturday.

The cold, rainy day wasn’t a total victory for the visiting team: Virginia Tech denied the Yellow Jackets a spot in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game with a 17-14 victory over Virginia.


But Georgia Tech (9-3) ended a streak of seven straight losses to Georgia by running for 409 yards out of the triple option offense. Jones, a redshirt freshman, averaged more than 16 yards per carry and scored twice. Jonathan Dwyer added 144 yards rushing and two TDs of his own.

What is this ****? We just won one for the ages. We mounted an epic comeback. And this is the crap they put on the front page of their website? And all they put is that we didn't get into the ACC title game? Nothing but a bunch of bitter Dawgs there. No wonder it's written at a third grade level.

Well, the average might be closer to 8 going forward because they have relied on us for one of the 9 in the past and they may not be able to do that so much going forward.

Give the AJC a break. What they were trying to say was that the game would not been close if Josh's bad ankles limited him to 49 yards. Otherwise the game would have been a rout, like the next ten years will be.
