remains at Tech. However, I foresee that the way this situation has played out may result in the loss of 2-3 recruits currently committed. Sad, but this place and The Hive will explode over that. Unfortunately, what would be one of our strongest recruiting classes in many years would still be a cause of rupture.

PS: Yes, I just wanted something else to worry about to feed my pessimistic nature.

I haven't heard of any lost recruits....some rumors about one is all I've heard....

Losing recruits would suck but if they're really tied to the head coach (vs. GT) then we'll be better off in the long run if they decide to go elsewhere. A talented, disgruntled player isn't going to help us any more than a "less-talented" (according to the sites) player that wants to play for GT.

I think we will be fine with recruits, assuming we can get a new head coach in quickly and have him start making the rounds. Sounds like so many of these guys look forward to playing on the same team as each other, there will be a strong bond between them to stay put.

Bobby Ross Said

When Ross was announced, he was asked right away about recruiting.

He said that he would first assemble a quality coaching staff, as that is more important than any single recruiting class.

Kudos to Chan for shepherding the recruits during this period. If he goes and Jimbo comes in, I would expect him to talk to the recruits, but focus on filling up a quality coaching staff.

This is wishful thinking.
If he goes to Miami, He will be on the next plane. He won't mess around at Tech anymore.

But he will not be going anywhere.

Most of the recruits are solid commits right now. Honestly the only ones we don't know about are Morgan Burnett and Cedric Everson, and we were going to have to wait until signing day to be completely sure about Everson anyway.

Yeah, he'll have to get ready really quick for the combines and such, they're coming up soon.

EmoryWasp, I agree with you. Gailey is staying right here in the Big "A". By the way, your avatar looks like Gailey trying to make a decision on what to call on 4th and 20 against the doggies.:hsugh:
