I know it's early but...

Re: I know it\'s early but...

Well, how about Caleb King, Josh Nesbitt, Eric Berry, Jerimy Finch, John Ditto, Chris Little, Jonathan Dwyer and Stefan Wisniewski. That's from Scout. Remember that at this point most kids haven't been rated, those are the ones with interest in Tech who have on their site. Several who follow recruiting closely suggest we have about 40 offers out at this point. From your comments I take it that you don't believe what kids say about who they are talking to. There's merit in that as you never know what their motivation is sometimes. Of course, that also must mean that you don't pay attention to anything you hear about recruiting because ALL information is coming from the kids. No school can talk about recruits, it's a violation. So when you say we don't seem to be competing with high D1 schools, that's just based on what kids report. Kind of a catch 22 isn't it?

One player. One stud player out of how many Gailey classes? One stud player who has been extremely underutilized for whatever reason...which could be used against us in recruiting. Why go to GT..look what became of one of the highest rated and most talented receiver ever in the country? Blame in on the qb, blame it on Gailey, blame on the line...regardless, Calvin has not had a breakout year considering his potential. Under a quality system, CJ and his stats would be unmatched.

Remember. Recruiting is not a one year process. It the cumulation of seriously hard recruiting and publicity at the local levels year after year.

This year will just start the building process with the addition of three great recruiting personnel to people we already had like Smith, Jean-Marie, Nix, and Modkins.

Collins and Smith know what they are doing coordinating this thing.

It definitely seems as though we are on more folks radar earlier than last year.
