Vanderbilt could go to the SEC Championship game...
Florida plays at LSU this weekend...that would give UF two losses possibly...
Florida and UGA play and one of them has to loose there as well...
If Vandy can beat Miss St. this weekend they will be 4-0 in the sec, and florida could possibly 2-2, and if UGA lays an egg maybe that can loose to UT, but doubtful..
It's possible tho for vandy, its possible..they will probably have to beat florida at home, and UGA would need to loose to florida, and florida would need to loose to LSU
this is assuming vandy looses at UGA which i think they will
AND UGA has to go to LSU and play...i mean...its very very possible

They could, but I'm not feelin' it. My girlfriend went to Vandy, so I kinda follow em, and we watched the Auburn game this past weekend.

My assessment is Auburn is plain bad and Vandy is less bad. The SEC in general is overrated. Still the best conference, but not the end all be all like they think they are.

I would be shocked if they beat Florida or Georgia, and honestly, if they're even close at the end.

Vandy's offense is still near the bottom statistically in the country; Auburn's was just closer to the bottom. And Ole Miss turned it over like 40 times against them.

I'm happy Vandy's decent finally, and they'll get their bowl game, but I'm not seeing any conference championship appearances. Even if they were in the ACC...

why do you keep calling us gtech? it's demeaning.

You speak for yourself. I have a GT degree. I am not demeaned.

I have no idea how anyone with the brains and fortitude to get a degree from GT would be offended by "gtech" on an internet message board.

I think gtech sounds cool...idk thats just me
Im a GT fan before a vandy fan just fyi, I just tought the idea of vandy getting to a championship game was something to toy around with.
Go Jackets!

i am also not demeaned by gtech, and i graduated twice

gtech, gtu, same difference.

I live in Nashville and go to many Vandy games. I have seen them play in person this year in addition to their TV games. You are correct, Vandy is certainly in the mix. They hold it in their hands, and its not any more out of the question than GT winning the ACC this season.

My opinion is that Vandy will do well to get 3/5 in these games: Duke, Wake, MSU, KY, TN. They get 8 wins, go to a nice bowl, and make a great memory for the next 25 years.

That said MSU, Tenn, and KY are very winnable for Vandy. If they sweep those and split the right side of Florida/Georgia they'll be there.

Vandy has played Georgia well the past 2 seasons, with a win between the hedges 2 years ago and they fumbled inside the 5 last year going in for the winning TD. I think Georgia is looking at at least one more SEC loss (Florida or LSU).

They have also played Florida to the wire 2 of the last 3 years, so that is also not out of the question. Florida is likely the key game for Vandy because its at home and I think Florida will beat Georgia.

Being a longtime follower of Vandy, however (I was at the game in the rain in 82 when Whit Taylor scored the winning TD over Tennessee), I fully expect an implosion at any minute, starting with this weekend.

That said, I'm pulling for them.

are you sure that you are enrolled at Georgia Tech???

GTech is inferred to be GEORGIA TECH as opposed to VTech or TTech.

GTU implies the word University, which is WRONG

you are either stupid or a total jerk, i am leaning heavily to the latter, although you frequently show signs of the former as well

For how simple his posts are, you guys make is absurdly easy for Kyle to derail a thread.

I have more of a problem with his usage of "loose" instead of "lose".

Correct:

1) We will not lose to UGA this year.

2) That slut is loose!

college football is college football?

i like georgia tech better than vandy....but i live in nashville so i go to the vandy games and see them alot...i just thought it might be an interesting topic to talk about

You're right.

It is possible.

HOLY EFFING ****E THAT WOULD BE THE FUNNIEST CRAP EVER IF VANDY GOES TO THE SECCG OVER GEORGIA IN A YEAR WHERE UGA WAS PRESEASON #1.

I dunno, Vandy beating UGA in 2006 was pretty awesome.

Especially since it was UGA's homecoming game.

And it would probably drive Visor Boy out of coaching altogether.

Anybody associated with Tech knows that it's "TECH", not GTech, not GaTech, etc. Just because Lame Braine put all his efforts into VPI doesn't mean we have to drop so low and have to change how we call ourselves.
