I don't personally get into spending the time between games pinning different shortcomings on whichever coach or player I'm angriest at. It's the weirdest past time among fans to me. We can see the places we fail or need improvement, talk about how that can be achieved, etc., but why waste time using each shortcoming as the basis for a thousand different recycled smartass cracks about whoever we decide is to blame for it?
Our clock management today was terrible. I'd like to hope that the next time we're down two scores with the ball and half a quarter to go, we'll recognize that it's important for there to be time on the clock if your intention is to score more points in order to win. I'm baffled by whatever possessed us to pretend the minutes weren't wasting away, but I'm not going to act like a child and say Collins was just trying to run out clock and keep the score close for use in recruiting later because recruiting high school kids is as simple as choosing your pitch in your NCAA Football 201X dynasty.
I think a lot of you would find yourselves much happier if you remembered that the Tech football team is the thing you're passionate about, and not an obstacle between you and vicarious winning.
