FWIW what I heard on one of the talk radio stations today was that Shockley was very high on a lot of scouts' lists, but that due to a bad all-star game (don't remember if he was in the Senior Bowl or what) many coaches weren't interested. They said for a number of teams it was one of those tugs of war where the scouts think he's got the tools but the coaches just haven't seen it.

Cockiness/confidence (the only thing he's been accused of) will probably be an issue somewhere down the line but who doesn't have some level of that in the NFL?

Contact: Jimmy Williams WAS considered a high first round draft pick. Before issues with attitude and boorish behavior started piling up It's possible that he fell farther down in the draft than anyone except for Lindale White. If most of the NFL's general managers consider him to be a risk.....if Arthur Blank had to defend the pick.....and since it's my general observation that these highly paid athletes with a background of this type of behavior only become even more boorish, more self absorbed with themselves. It's a recipe for trouble. That is what I base it on.

[/ QUOTE ]That's fine. Lendale White feel because of a positive test for performance enhancing drugs + a poor combine because he was out of shape. Williams fell because of somewhat substantiated rumors of attitude problems. However, like I said earlier the guy has had no legal issues so the GMs were overreacting by letting him slide as far as he did.

Williams may be cocky, hell, he may be hard to get along with but he's no Lawrence Phillips or Sean Taylor.

I'd take what TO did in the super bowl over what McNabb did. While you could say they both left it "all on the field", TOs way was much more effective.

All that said - he's not going to be as hard to deal with as TO.
