we start knocking him. I will admit, this hire took many of us by surprise. Let's give PJ the benefit of the doubt here. He may know something about him that none of us would know. He may as a coach know that this new DC was responsible for those great defenses of Southern Miss. in the late 90's (Did Navy or Gsu play Southern Miss back then) PJ may have seen him up close?
If, we can have top 25 to top 30 defenses every year, I think along with PJ's offense, we may have something special. We certainly are accumulating some good talent on defense and NOW, with the scholly's back, we should be able to build depth here on defense. So. if we can keep Giff and recruit well on defense, we may be in for a nice run here!
