but I can't.

That said, I have tried to work up the same emotion for tomorrow as I have had for the weekend after Thanksgiving for the last 28 years. It's just not there.

I am sure though that a different but powerful emotion will come around noon tomorrow. I just wish I could "hate" wake right now as much as I do you know who.

I am just curious enough to ask what you other Tech fanatics say about our first ACC Championship Game.

Importance of win is not the question here. What is the emotional effect on your senses that tomorrows game has right now versus Tech georgia?

Boy, I sypathize with you. I think this is a great post. I can tell by the fact that there are no responses that no one really quite knows how to conjure up the necessary emotions, either (that or they are on their way to Jacksonville to root on our JACKETS!)

Our men have had a great year. They have won they games they should have won. We won two games we probably shouldn't have won - VT in Blackburg, and a tough Miami team that had some bad breaks, but is still a force.

It would be quite satisfying to the bulldogs to have completely ruined our season. Not only would they have beaten us in an "upset", but they would have deflated us for our championship game.

Now, we can't have that, can we? I know it's a reach, but they can't be the owners of two victories over us this year. It is difficult for the players to dig down, and find that emotion and competitiveness that helped them dominate a good VT team. Conversely, it is relatively easy for us as fans, Tech graduates, and associated friends and family to manufacture the required emotion to blow our team to the ACC finish line.

GO JACKETS! Get that ACCC Ring, Beat the Big East in the Orange, and earn yourselves a better preseason starting point in the polls next year.

In my opinion, last week...

was a "must" win. This one would be "nice" to win. It's hard to work up much feeling one way or the other about Wake Forest...or really any ACC team maybe other than Clemson. To me, Wake may be a "better" ACC champion (objectively speaking as a conference "fan", not of course as a Tech fan) because they won their games out of conference IIRC correctly and we didn't. I think it tarnishes the league's image in a major way to have its champion lose to a middle of the road SEC team, especially late in the year when the teams should be playing their best football. Having said that, putting my Tech hat on, I know the kids on the team will want that ring when they step on the field so I will be cheering for the Jackets.

My post was stoopid, but I appreciate a few others feeling the same way.
It dawns on me now that even if we accomplish the kind of run that USC has had the last 4 years, I will never be as passionate about any game as I am for georgia.
Not saying I am right, just saying that when you are raised from early childhood to loathe a certain team, it just sticks with you stronger than Ajax.

I wasn't trying to say this game isn't important. It is HUGE!!. My original post was only a self examination.
(Thankfully the lump I discovered wasn't the scary kind.)

Let's Bust Their Ass, Jackets!

This game is just more business than just being pumped for a regular game. This game takes a real gut check and a lot of focus.

Let's ROLL JACKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
