I suggest emailing your thoughts too.....

Wrote D Rad this mornning and got a quick response. I feel confident he is monitoring the situation daily.

HAha, well I did this instead:

Well, perhaps a bit angry, but likely not at the same stuff I'm sure your inbox has been flooded with this morning. Yes I'm frustrated with the direction of the program etc etc but I'm sure you've got an earfull of that already, so I won't burden you with any more of it. I would like to draw your attention to this, though:

http://www.shopterps.com/main_detai...s Victory Tee&rs=terps_10-6&rc=storefront10-6

I don't mind "victory shirts," but Maryland clearly crossed the line with that one. I'd just like to say I find stuff like that classless and disgusting, and would prefer to see Tech not doing anything of the sort in the future.

Except for UGA, of course, who is already so extremely classless and disgusting that we get a free pass on any sort of 'rub it in' paraphernalia, should we (by the grace of god sometime this century) get the chance to do so.

You might consider speaking with the Maryland AD about things like 'class.' If that conversation doesn't go well, perhaps you can buy a few of those to save for next year, to burn in effigy at midfield before the Maryland game, or perhaps print a slanderous slogan on some foam seat cushions about Freidgen's weight problems and hand out ten thousand of them before the game. They have great range, and most of us stand anyway. We'll find a use for them.

I do not envy the position you're in with regards to our football program. My only advice is that *if* you decide a change in staff is necessary, you do the best you can to keep most of the staff, particularly defensive and recruiting staff, in place. Our team has great chemistry and continuity, and a great sense of family, which could easily be ruined with a complete turnover in staff. I also think that *if* you decide a change is necessary, Jon has earned a very legitimate shot, and his work towards making Tech a winning program to-date should definitely be factored into your decision. Note the *if*s. The decision to make staffing changes is thankfully not in the hands of fans, or we would all be doomed.

Thank you for your time.

Nicely said, beej67. Hope you'll let us know if you get a reply.

what did you e-mail him?

One of the reasons the buzof crowd doesn't like me is I won't divulge info when speaking to the AD or Coach. I think in a situation like this it is left one on one.

I have full confidence that Dan R. is evaluating the program right now and I can assure you he is not happy.

Dan is no Brain dead, he won't accept what's on the field.

To DRad:

"'m sure you are a busy man I don't want to take too much of your time, and I apologize in advance if this is a bit too nosy, but...
Is buying out Chan Gailey's remaining portion of the contract not an option? I realize that you inherited the contract originally, but there has to be some way to get out of it.

I'll refrain from going into a rant about CG I'm sure you get enough of those as it is.

Thanks in advance.

Back to me:

"Ryan
Thank you for taking the time to write. I really prefer not to answer
questions about a personnel contract.
I am evaluating the program and will continue to do so until the
conclusion of the season. If any changes are required, they will occur
at that time.
Thanks again for the email.

So nothing will happen mid-season. That's a fact.

Sent him an email a couple hours after the game and he responded a few hrs later from his blackberry.

Dan is the man!

Although, you're always the man until you have to make a tough decision.

I got a response via blackberry too. Pretty curt, said he'd speak to the Maryland AD about it.

I agree that a "victory" shirt should talk about the team that accomplished Victory....not the team that was defeated.

Only other tidbit was an allusion to that there'd be no mid-season changes.

If I were him, I'd have someone else answering these things. Hehe.

Here is the response I recieved back this morning.

Thanks. I appreciate your comments. We have much work to do and a successful football program is the cornerstone of any successful athletics program.
I will continue to do all I can to make that happen. I am working thru the evaluation process, and any changes, if required, will be done at the conclusion of the season.
Thank you for your support of our program.

I emailed rad after UVA with a very nice long email.

He mentioned alot of what you guys got back with a few other more specifics that lead me to believe i didn't get a canned response.

Emailing him is good. Its the one easy way he is connected to the fanbase. And it is effective. Also, like all said here, don't expect any changes in the midseason unless a complete anarchy starts.

Thank you for how you handle things. Not as others have.
