Edsall, Neuehisel, or Muschamp.

I mean, if you get TANGIBLE evidence (GSU and Hatcher says GT hasn't contacted him, UF says GT hasn't contacted Strong, Navy says GT hasn't contacted them for Johnson), that we're not pursuing someone, but we get the opposite that we ARE pursuing someone (Muschamp, Neuheisel, and Edsall) then we just need to face it: we're after those 3 guys, and unless they all 3 turn us down, we're getting one of them.

I think the odds are on Edsall, though I think I'd like to have him least of the 3.
 
Neuehisel is the worst choice of all. He will split the fan base worse than it is now and maybe to a point of no return. Muschamp apparently if the front runner for AU. Edsall is not that exciting to many of the fans and Alumni. I am running my big mouth but I cannot give you any clear cut choices. We will just have to wait on Drad.
 
If its one of those three choices:
Here's my picks:
1.) Muschamp
2.) Muschamp
3.) Muschamp

This guy is going to do great things.
 
I would like any of those three. Maybe Edsall and Muschamp slightly over Neuheisal, but I would be happy with either.

I have an AU friend who is scared to death that he is going to be hired away from them. Now with all the talk about TT leaving, the AU faithful seem to be happy that Muschamp name is being listed as the HC.

I agree, Tubs knows how to play folks to gte big pay raises. ARK does not have the talent or the access to talent that Auburn does.

But I have to admit Fayeteville is a beautiful place and much more suburban feeling than auburn. If you (not you contact buzz but others who knock ARK) haven't been to NW Arkansas, I think you're missing one of the nicest places in the country. It's a beautiful place with LOTS of new money.
 
We need to pony up the money and go get Paul Johnson or Chris Hatcher. These seem like the most logical choices to me? Maybe Johnson will get in the mix later this weekend? That's my hope. I just don't understand it.

Of the three listed, I have to go with Muschamp. From Ga, intense, it will piss UGA fans off, brother is the HC at Lovett high school, I like the interviews and clips I have seen of him.

There will be no money needed to "pony up" to get Hatcher. Coming from VSU and GSU, I dont see him being an insanely expensive hire, but hey.....what do I know?

Why can't our fanbase get behind whoever we choose? Regardless of who it is, some people will be unhappy. Someone said Neuheisel would split us the most? Why? Because of his baggage? I would think Muschamp would be worse b/c he's a dog. I think of the three, I'd take my chances w/ Neuheisel, but I will go ahead and state now that I will be fully behind whoever we choose until results tell me otherwise. Let's have faith in the people making the decision and the hiring process in general and get behind our new coach. We can't be divided before he steps onto campus.

He is definitely the cheapest hire. Seems like I remember someone saying that he made $400k a year w/ Southern (which seems high really). So we could easily double his pay and keep him at under $1MM a year.

from what i understand it's ~$300k at GSU.

I'm like 1865, I will not judge until he has had some time to recruit and coach his kids. I will be behind Drad's choice. I thik whoever we get will be an improvement.

Not only are our doctors, bankers, pharmacist, lawyers, governors, brokers, and teachers UGAg grads, but now you want a mutt as the CEO of our football team whose defenses the past few years have been shredded by Richt??? Mushamp has never had any headcoaching experience, to boot. Not always a bad thing...see Richt. But more often than not, it proves to be a poor decision..or should I say, a much higher gamble. Why are some here so high on this guy? Just because he said "Boom MF" and yelled to players on the sideline? ..or because we subconciously want to see some SEC and Ugag success on our sideline and we think this is it?

We will pay more than Chan was making. That is the market. Chan was making below market wages.

Guy who wins at his current/past job(s) for ~$500k
Guy who has no HC experience ~$1M

Now thats just a Muschamp and Hatcher comparison, but you see where Im going. Personally I dont think either of them will get the job. Get it out of your head that because he isnt a $1M coach he cant cut it. You dont ALWAYS get what you pay for ;)
