Few on this board can claim they were at Reggie's very first game in a GT uniform and his last. I was at BYU on Thursday night when we got beat (Provo is beautiful with the mountains right behind the stadium) and I was there in the cold and rain in Jacksonville for his last game.

I will never forget sitting in the endzone and early in the game Reggie broke a long run on a broken play and my dad and I both thought, "Wow, we got a moble qb finally". We lost the game but had so much hope for the future. The next week we whip Auburn and we really thought, gosh what a steal, Reggie is gonna be another Hamilton.

Sadly, we all know the middle and the end of the story. I am thankful for all the great wins Reggie helped us achieve (Auburn twice, Miami twice, two bowl victories, Coastal Div Champs) but its the rest that will always bother me. Sad, sad, sad, he never could quite turn the corner.

If someone would have told me on that beautiful afternoon in Provo, Utah that Reggie would turn out like he did, I never would have believed it. Reg, thanks for all your hard work, but brother your like that alcoholic uncle at Christmas who always says or does the wrong thing at the wrong time. Best of luck, we will cherish the good yet the bad will haunt us for years to come.

You have me beat. I was there for the BYU game, but cancelled the wake on a neutral site after the georgia debacle.

You are right about Provo. What a beautiful place!
The highlight of my trip was playing at Thanksgiving Point on game day. Went bogey, bogey to finish and still shot a respectable 75. Don't know how it compares to other Utah tracks as far as golf goes, but the scenery was incredible. It's a Johnny Miller designed course and maybe why the greens were pretty easy.;) Still wear the hat I bought there.

Great trip.

By the way, Reggie missed a wide open tight end in the middle of the end zone in the first quarter. Threw it 6 feet over his head, but did avoid a potential sack just in case any Cougars were around.

I was at both, but the only thing that stuck out in Provo was PJ Daniels. Seemed like his whole family was there and I can remember thinking he was going to turn out great if he ever got any blocking. That 300 yd game of his in Boise (another great game location) was awesome.
