quarters and I do not think the TO as run by the mid shipmen will be at all successful against the best of the ACC/SEC defenses. We are going to have to throw the ball more for sure, and off of play action. But I have confidence in CPJ to adapt and to get 'er done over time.

Well, even Lou Holt-th acknowledged during the game that Navy was running a different offense last night then what they ran with Johnson. I wouldn't worry too much watching that game.
 
Well, this year they scored 46 on Duke, and 24 on Wake Forest.

Last year they scored 38 on Duke and 24 on BC.

In 2005 they scored 20 on Maryland and 28 on Duke.

You can't draw a real conclusion from 6 games when 3 of them are Duke; but the hope is that GT's better athletes and slightly different scheme will mean more offensive production.

Unless I'm mistaken, each of those are better numbers than we scored against the same teams. And that's with cadets playing instead of NCAA football players.

I don't see how you can say it won't work, based on all the evidence.
 
Keep in mind that Utah had a top 3 scoring defense going into the game... It certainly wasn't their offense that lost for them.
 
I kinda think we will run a offense similar to what UF runs with Tebow. JMHO! Maybe Nesbitt can become the next 20/20 college football player!!!
 
Navy also doesn't have Tech's size or speed on offense. Put Dwyer or Nesbitt in place of Kattani/Campbell and Kaipo and see what happens. Kaipo can't run away or over anybody. Nesbitt can do both. Plus, Kaipo also not that great a passer, but look how open Navy's receivers were when they did decide to pass. Now put Nesbitt/Booker in at QB with Bebe Thomas, et al, at receiver.
Don't worry about this offense at all. Not at all.

True, if we could only play Navy's schedule, we could go 9-3.

We might even beat the Div. 1-AA team that Navy lost to. Maybe.
 
That 1-AA team that Navy lost to is Delaware, who finished second in the FBS this season. The have one of the top five QB prospects for the NFL in the country and a top RB prospect as well. The lost to App State, who in case you've forgotten, beat Michigan at the Big House. Delaware would have beaten a number of the bowl teams playing over the next week or so.

It was the Navy D that lost the game to Delaware, and I think there's been adequate discussion about the size and speed of the Navy D. Navy scored plenty of points on O to win the game.
