Before or after the week of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a pretty big deal in my family. It is about as big as christmas, so I am expected to be home and that home is 3000 miles away from GT. So, unfortunately, I probably will never see GT taken on UGA in person. :crybaby:

Time to rethink your priorities. Christmas and Thanksgiving are close together anyway; being at one should suffice.

being in a stadium full of ugag fans is NOT a holiday no matter when it is played.

I've always wanted them to play in the dome just once to see what kind of atmosphere it would have, but tech fans would have to actually show up.

A downside of Tech being a "national" school when it comes to academics, so we have a lot of students and alumni who are miles and miles away.

GIves you a good reason to get the hell away from your family though :)

Back in 2005 I flew home late Wednesday night and was back on campus Friday afternoon. Why couldn't you do the same, or maybe Saturday morning if your family wanted to spend a couple days with you? It's really only 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Winter Break.

That is a possibility. I will try.

You need to go at least once. I skipped it my freshman year but went back early in 2005.

Now I'm in California and I doubt it'll be worth it to deal with flying home for Thanksgiving when I'll probably be there for almost 3 weeks over the holidays (much less go to the game). :\

It has been played the week after Thanksgiving several times depending on if there was an early Thanksgiving. You would think, though, that if it was going to happen again, it would be this year.

You're not missing much, Kyle. UGA fans do their best to make the game miserable for Tech people whether we win or lose, no matter where it's played. Last time we played them at BDS I got beer bottles thrown at me while walking down 14th street after the game, for wearing a Tech jersey, by some hicks in a red pickup truck.

This thread is no longer about UGA. It's now about what people eat for Thanksgiving in France.

My guess is Turkey Souflee, Cranberry Couscous, Croissants and gravy.

Do they even have Thanksgiving in France?

Anyways, I'd like to go just once though. I've never seen the collective force of ugag rednecks.

Shouldn't YOU be answering this question? You stated you were going home to France for Thanksgiving. Now I'm confused!!
I'm going to California. Why would I go to France to celebrate thanksgiving?
