If Gailey said this...

"If you try to change and adjust and create crazy things, your players lose confidence in what you're trying to get done"

If Gailey said this, then its no freaking wonder the Dolphins offense exploded this year when they got him out of town and ours became crap. Maybe he is a nice guy, but he may not be smart enough to be a division 1-a coach.

Just shakin' my head. How in the world did we get in this fix?

Then perhaps you'd like to explain how the hell the Steelers got to the Superbowl despite Neil O'Donnel under Gailey's guidance?? Their offense finished 5th in the NFL that year as well. How quickly many forget!

The Dolphins have "exploded" by running the damn ball. For your info. Gailey is universally considered a good coach with an excellent offensive mind in NFL circles. Just because we are having trouble right now doesn't mean a guy who led the Steelers and Broncos offense's isn't smart enough for college football.

BTW just what about his comment do you not agree with? If we junk our offense now and start putting in some crazy package, just what do you think the players will think? His comment is exactly right. That doesn't mean you don't make changes, just that you don't try to start over. That definitely won't work.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">I would probably use the same explaination that I used when people pointed to Bill Lewis's 11 win season at E.Carolina.

DustJacket, You are right. Bill Lewis rode the coattail of his OC who just happens to be East Carolina's head coach. We have a DUD.
