Wonder how that will be perceived by all if JT gets the HC position at GT b/c none of the "other candidates" worked out...I am just curious how JT would feel about that as well as the college media at large... Would he really see it as a victory?

I wonder who is staff would consist of?

Hopefully no matter what the end result is GT prospers from this entire process...It's been an exhausting one since the firing of CG...

they wouldn't give it to him by default

if they didn't like JT, they would continue to pull candidates. Its not like we are at the perverbial end of the rope.

If jt gets it, its b/c he is a good coach, and the GTAA Decided the $ and value the other coaches give isn't much greater than JT; and JT would make enough staff changes to get this place moving again.

Honestly, RAD made a big STATEMENT by firing Gailey, this is his first major opportunity to put a thumbprint on the program. He isn't going to do it by hiring a default coach...
 
I am not bashing JT I think he's a good fall back option & heck of a DC. I am just wondering what the general perception would be b/c he doesn't seem (per the rumors/articles) to have been our 1st choice either...No harm intended/disrespect to J Tenuta...he's done a heck of a job at GT.
 
how do u think JT will feel? wanted? important? or the fat girl that got picked last?
 
i think if he gets it he will feel better than Muttchump or any of the other guys that WE turned down
 
Let me make sure everyone knows how I FEEL...IF JT is selected as HC I hope that everyone falls in line & supports his efforts & takes GT on to the next level...I am just curious how everyone feels...
BEST OF LUCK TO JT in this process as he tries to hold it all together in the midst of a TOUGH process. While trying to get the team ready for a BOWL GAME.

I agree. Very well said. Seriously, we waited until January to hire Gailey. (of course, O'Leary left later too)

Also, JT has been in there the whole time. Every single article that I've seen has had some form of the stipulation in it that "interim head coach Jon Tenuta will be given serious consideration for the job as well." I think those that think he hasn't been getting serious attention are just paying attention to the headlines - which highlight the changes in the search, not the constants.

I think he'd feel like the head coach of a BCS school, and he'd probably sleep alright with his probably $1M+ salary. Who cares if you were picked last in gym class. Take your paycheck, and prove why you deserve even more...

Yeah he strikes me as the type of guy who thinks that way. And, good for him if he does get the job I like his plans thus far for the bowl game.
