video of our game w/uga, please replay and see if RB may have been down when he fumbled to uga for a TD.

I watched the game on tv again last night and when it came to that play of the game, RB appeared to be down.

The angle that it was shot from was not the best angle by a long shot but it was all they had to show.

rome, when I watched RB's fumble on the CSS replay last night I honestly didn't even consider whether or not he was down. By stating that I'm saying that I believe it was indeed a fumble. Of course I was also focusing on the post-fumble activity in the pile.

I would like to see the replay again so I can watch the official who was nearest to the pile because it didn't appear that he was moving towards the pile, he seemed to be standing there observing. In my opinion the ball was indeed down, and probably the GT player on top had part possession and the UGA player directly underneath him may have had his hands on it as well. Too bad there was no overhead camera angle on the pile.

The ball was coming out before he went down. Trust me.

He made sure of that. ;) JUST KIDDING!

It was definitely a fumble...he was not down. ACC refs got it right.

My main greivance is that the refs didn't blow the play did. They did everything possible expcept blowing the whistle to signal to the players that the play was over. I know you're supposed to coach playing until the whistle, but I can't think of another time the refs have gotten in the middle of a play like that while the ball was still live.

Also, nobody except a couple of players can be certain whether this happened, but if you look at the replay, Taylor takes a good 3-4 seconds to get the ball out of the pile. It didn't just roll onto his feet or anything. Also, if you look at where he takes it out from, right after he takes it out, you can McManus' hands there. It makes me lend credence to McManus' claim that he had the ball and Taylor used his legs to overpower his arms and rip it out.

Just a screw-job by both luck and the refs.
